  • It's great, keep up the good work. May I ask who is the Dancer or what is the black and white film at 1.51?

  • @LiveStoryteller James Cagney in "Yankee Doodle Dandy" (dir. Michael Curtiz ,1945.) Thanks for your encouragement.

  • It was so exciting to click on this and discover what song you're using for this one, I LOVE this song! And Dance in Film 2 seems even better than one, and that didn't really seem possible, I just watched it twice and moved onto this one. I'm glad you didn't give up after your first video was taken down. You Tube leave these alone!!

  • Eblouissant, Rick! You are a star in your art!

  • Just one more comment. Since you are showing all important movies where the dance is fundamental, why not use the hindi film Saawariya on your next video?

  • @christopher242424 "Saawariya" was in "Dance in Film 2."

  • @MrShowcasecinema Sorry. I was out (on a trip) and I didn't see Dance in Films 2. Loved it.

Re: Friend Requests, have found that You Tube's system allows only a small number in any session.

These days, people expect MANY MILLIONS of Views in Music Videos that GO VIRAL.

Let me know if you discover new options to get such large numbers! ANDY

  • EXCITING, INSPIRING, WONDERFUL !!!

Thank you for posting and @Kievest for sharing.

  • Ok, this is maybe one of the greatest videos in youtube. i loved the most : the song, that bit from showgirls (i always thought that i'm the only one in the world who sees the dancing there great !), the Indian bit too. i hate that you didn't see any dance from any movie from Egypt. at the 1940s and 1950s there was a golden age there for dancing, see yourself in youtube.

  • Totally Awesome video!!!!

  • Rick,

you make me "revisit" Cinema moments and " see " as if it were the first time...

    Ciak , si gira !!

  • I like it, I like it!!! From ballet to bollywood, to the very clever ending, the reality of

our primal fantasies in dance are realized! Breathtaking editing & choreography of

of music, movement, dance sequences, animation and everything else that could

be imagined or desired in an extravaganza of this genre! You always deal a

winning hand, Rick, while making the process seem effortless! Quit your

day job...you have found your calling! Bravo, Maestro!

  • COOL! PRETTY COOL! Let's face the music and dance, of course!

  • Dancing is fun, and there's so many dancing movie scenes over the years. I think it was Rudolph Valentino who was the first actor to bring dance to film. It was the tango in a film in 1921. ;) I like the song Let the music play from the 80s, and you did a great job on the dance sequences.

  • Did you see James Cagney ? Am I right ? Great as always, Rick !
