as a spanish speaker i find more easy to speak with people like cedric you know, you can tell him in spanish and he can answered in spanglish (obviously you have to understand english) but, i think that he probably have to take more spanish classes hahaha
I don't speak Spanish nearly as well as I wished, but it's just fun knowing that they do. And this interview is seemingly more substantial than some English ones.
I can understand why. Omar is really good-looking for a 34-year-old man. Im learning spanish and I found out that the best way to understand people speaking fast spanish is not to focus on single words, but to let the entire context and message just flow in naturally =)
Interesting to know that they don't like the way De-Loused turned out, which is ironically a fan favorite. My personal favorite has always been Frances The Mute, but I love De-Loused as well.
omar is saying that rick rubins wasnt very helpfull in De-Loused, so wen he left, omar could finally do what he wants. He also says that rick and the musicians in general likes to talk too much, but he and cedric just need a look to know what they want, so omar told the musicians they dont ask anything, cause the important is the NOW, it doesnt matter what part of the song is next. So he could produce the record himself, BUT it still has the rick's touch, and they dont like it very much...
Yea it's good sometimes when you are being interviewed in spanish and you know you can't remember some words you just choose not to looke like a jackass but his colombian interview he speaks it perfectly fine with slangs and all

@hectorcancino the 80s were nothing like the 70s. You are totally right about great music being done in the 70s. All genres, salsa, flamenco, rock, bluegrass etc. I disagree with the 80s being terrible. there were a lot of punk bands and other stuff that appeared in the 80s and were very influential for the 90s. @pinkfloyd105 Man, have you ever asked why all the latinamericans, we understand your language but you don't ours ? ok anyone can say alot of shit about it ,but besides of that you are obviously in disadvantage, MAKE SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
@Glossolalya Um....I was never dissing the Spanish language. Also, knowing spanish is useless to me. I am a Canadian and knowing both our "offical languanges" I think is more of a advantage than knowing one that has zero use in my country. Maybe in the USA yeah....but even then I don't think only knowing enlglish puts you at a disadvantage does it? It's only one offical language right? All the menu's are in English right? I know french, but it's not similar to Spanish. Thats all.
