@cincyboy256 Yes. They have a blue '89 Chevrolet pickup truck with a 305 V8 and a manual transmission. The Keykeeper helped them bleed the clutch on it. They've had a few others before that...a red '93 GMC with a 4.3L V6 and a five speed manual, and another '89 with a 350 V8 and automatic transmission.
@Fuzy2K You're right...there was such a comment made somewhere along the line. I know the Keykeeper has something of an unusual dialect, although I'm so used to it that I hardly notice. The original poster did respond and stated that they were speaking of 'furhead.
Hey I got a better fix..if the wheels are whining just...turn up the radio..if it keeps up turn the radio to full volume and there ya go problem solved HaHa
@uxwbill oh that is simple mr bill just shut off the ignition and tie a horse to the front of the car and there is your lost fuel economy but be sure to keep it in neutral or just pull engine and trans out so it will be a roller or heck get a mule they are cheaper than a horse be like a redneck modern day horse and buggy HaHa
@randomrazr No, not necessarily. They tend to fail because the seal breaks down with wear from rolling along and then it lets the grease out. One that is sitting could theoretically seize, but I'd find that rather unlikely unless it had been sitting for a really long time exposed to the weather. As it is, the brake disc and tire will provide some protection.
Been there done that on my Riviera. I found getting a bad wheel bearing out is easy if you beat it with a sledge hammer until it falls out. As far the bolts, I can only assume GM put them in backwards because the knuckle is aluminum on these newer cars. Threading into aluminum probably won't hold up as well as steel.
@Madness832 I would like to say that I try to put something in each of my videos that people might notice and ask about, but that's only half-true. It came from my place of work, where it failed somehow (filament is intact) and popped a circuit breaker when it went. As I found it impressive, I took it home. I might build a display shelf for it.
If lightbulbs had genders, I can only imagine this is the kind of bulb you'd address as "sir". It is the biggest standard base bulb I've seen! 300W+?
@101xfmrogers A random Youtuber who stopped by. Seems that there are some others in this area who have seen us. I act surprised but I shouldn't be. I'd tell you his username, but I have slept since he told me.
I think it'd be pretty hard to damage the parking mechanism with your bare hands. My dumbass brother threw his car into park going 35mph and it still worked after that lol
@dana44s I'm not sure. When a moving GM vehicle (with a 4L60E auto tranny, for RWD apps) is thrown into park, the pawl makes a ratcheting noise until the vehicle stops. Not sure what the FWD ones do, and it's not like I meant to find out what the result is! ;-)
In other words, it might be pretty hard to damage, but "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". That also says nothing of what would happen if our mother found out!
@revitup1965 It's nice outside, so we were working out there. Also, our air compressor doesn't really reach far enough and I haven't moved it to the new garage yet, since we have no electricity other than what little we can steal from the Roach Palace. Electricity is coming to the garage soon, but it's not all in place yet.
@Dell0304 American cars are the best. I live in Greece and American cars are hard to find and too expensive here. Despite that I own a Chevy Impala 1964, a Mustang 2010 model and a Jeep Cherokee (actually that's my wife's car) . Been owning Toyotas and Subarus, don't get me wrong Subs are great, Toyotas are unbreakable, but the new models are plain soullless.
@Kujokouklos There i no quality/craftsmenship in american cars. They usualy start having problems on 5 years. I live in USA and i don't like american cars.
@Dell0304 You're certainly welcome to your opinion, but -please- do not start/have that argument here. I've got nothing against imports, and have wrenched on a lot of different vehicles over time. They *all* have bad and good things about them, and no one make is really worse than any other (outside of a few "outlying" examples). Every automaker out there has also had their dark years.
I think that you and your friends remind me of Hank, Bill, and Dale off Kind of the Hill when you're fixing the car, I could picture their heads, you and your friends actions there!
I had to do both on the front of a 99 Grand Am I owned. It was just as much of a pain. Whoever the engineer was that came up with the idea of putting the bolts on inside of the steering knuckle should be shot!
Yeah, I liked the older design better. It was very easy to change the bearing hub on the older GM frontwheel drives.... Oh well, all good things come to an end!
man i mean no offense, but i did the same thing on my 99 grand prix which is almost identical and it was a 30 min job at the most with the appropriate tools. i had to hunt down the tools in my "backyard" mechanics garage. i even changed the outer tie rod at the same time. still always fun to watch the 3 of you argue lol
Surprisingly they were fairly well behaved for a video you were not supervising that is to be put on your channel.
I think this is the most Bizzarefurhead has ever spoken or appeared.
Its a damn shame GM screwed up an other wise simple design. But I suppose when they make cars that are solid, they gotta get the money somewhere, and that's from the stealer ship jobs.
I feel for the KeyKeeper...I dunno why I want to kill myself by being an auto mechanic...but its good money.
My good friend has had bad luck with his front left bearing so many times. We made a trip from Oklahoma/Arkansas, to Eldon Missouri. The way there we heard this grinding, popping sound. Now an hour away back, from hometown the wheel bearing gave out and completely disintegrated, causing him to lose control of steering because the hub was hitting the front rim. He had the hub replaced, along with a new bearing, and it's going out again. It was a horrifying experience!
Just got done with both front bearing sets on my '94 C1500 Chevy. How about them apples, eh? Tear down last weekend, needed some parts which I couldn't get till Monday, then waitind for the rain to go away.

@uxwbill I can only guess that (s)he was talking about the Keykeeper.
I seem to remember seeing a comment on another video of yours once asking if you and the Keykeeper were Australian... :P
