  • That's why I have a sprint nexus s 4g for free hotspot wherever I go. :-) thanks google.

  • 0:52 yeah, pong is probably the only game that it can handle

  • INTERNET MAN, AWAAAAAAAY!!!!!

  • Um. Mac OS X and Windows 7 were invented after the web was invented.

  • @thekeyring Windows NT (Windows 7 is version 6.1) was released in 1993 and Mac OS X was released in 1999, and the internet was not that common back then.

  • @HEN000y Mac OS X was released in 1999, but since then Apple have made major revisions every few years and decided to label them 10.1, 10.2 etc. Likewise, you can say Windows 7 is version 6.1 - it's still a separate release that's been worked on for years.

  • So when im offline...I go to space?

    SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!

  • Is the 3G on a chromebook like it is on an ipad? No contract, pretty much pay when you run out of data?

  • @DrPepsi500 Either, you can have a contract or pay as you go. You simply put a sim card in.

  • privacy is history on chromebooks

  • i don't think superman has the time to update his Facebook status in the sky :P

  • i can do all that from my iPhone, which is also always connected to the web.

  • @appleormac Monthly plan + 200-400 bucks. Small screen size. Less power. No flash. Yeah, exactly.

  • @Gobonks2011 no flash? :O

  • @andreirocks1992 I was referring to the iPhone, an argument brought up by somebody.

  • 3G? Why not N..

  • Comment removed

  • Chromebook = increasing humanity's dependence on the internet.

  • so....... no minecraft >:(

  • wow! free 3G!

  • If this shit has free 3g ima buy 10

  • @2615863 It is not free...gotta buy a data plan

  • I hope I won't float off into space if I lose my Internet connection lolz

  • @marie2000281 there are two ways which would allow your laptop to have internet anywhere: 1) if your data plan on your iPhone allows wireless tethering you could use your iPhone as a wireless hotspot for your laptop. Some companies allow this however I jailbroke my iphone in order to get this feature. 2) you can get one of thore USB stick-like devices that allows your laptop to connect to the internet.

  • So its for old people with money to burn?

I'm not really sure who else would buy this?

  • i love these adverts but i hate the product XD thumbs up to whoever made the ads though

  • Is 3G free, like on kindle or do you have to pay (like iPad)

  • TACOS!!!!!!!!

  • @hometownbuffet123 Yummy yummy...

  • lucky charms

  • AMAZING!! I REALLY WANT TO CHROME BOOK!!!!(mosty Cause of the apps and web)AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sonic1934 ...chromebook does less of what a regular notebook does. you know you can get the Google Chrome web browser which does pretty much the same what that chromebook does.

  • ......WHY AM I WATCHING THESEEEEEEEEE

  • Uh... What laptop doesnt have wifi built-in?

  • @bjnono001 doesn't it mean the plane?

  • @shanee753 if your plane offers wifi, any laptop can connect to it as long as you pay for the wifi.

  • @bjnono001 apple powerbook

  • @bjnono001 uh...what phone doesn't have Front Camera and Sound Control built-in? Ppl think the Fruit company changed everything...

  • @bjnono001 IBM G40

  • @bjnono001 i can tell you shit loud of them

  • @bjnono001 I know man. I hate looking for laptops and seeing "has 802.11 wireless fidelity built in" oh shut up what computer DOESN'T have wi-fi?

  • @bjnono001 computer that arent a laptop... or a chromebook

  • @bjnono001 as in it is its own wifi hotspot/doesn't need a wifi hotspot, instead of having a wireless router somewhere.

  • Why not 4G???

  • @Speedygi81 why not 8

  • @Speedygi81 4G isnt necessarily better/faster then 3G, its mostly a marketing gimic.

  • I live on the web.... literally

  • mmm...tacos...

  • He should've said "And for those rare moments when you have a real life". I mean, live life how you want it and all that but seriously, you need to design a notebook for people who LIVE on the web? Stop immersing yourself in a virtual world and socialize for a bit. I promise it's much more worthwhile and fulfilling.

  • are people so poor these days they can afford a $500 computer but not afford internet....cmon now get ya lifes together and stop cryin

  • @THAxViLLAiN $500 is insanely cheap for a computer. Which speaks volumes about the quality of the computer you're going to be getting.

  • @KatrinaDi lol i had a typo can't afford**

  • ???So it isnt Internet in the space?

  • They sold me at taco truck... :D

  • What if your in Antarctica ?

  • @HSetOscoar & Droidnoid

You guys are flying the wrong airlines. Gogo inflight internet covers over 1/3 of domestic flights.

  • Its not even a google OS. Its a god damn linux kernel booting chrome browser. I could compile something like that for 0$.

  • 8.5 hours of lifetime and thats taking into account that is is connected to the Internet since that all the OS does wow I expect just 2 hours cut off by watching HD video and some may say it choppy with HD but let the thing load 3 seconds and you shouldn't notice anything! I'm going to get one since I mean why do I want a huge laptop cluttering my room with only 4 hours of charge? I don't get it why a bigger screen is need on any computer since only 1 person is really looking at it the only thi

  • @2532points eventually America's Internet Infrastructure will be able to support entire games online really but I expect those speeds in about 20 years or so u know since Americans are so behind on fast Internet connections but I think we will eventually see it

  • Actually the web was invented in the 60s >_>

  • @0:51

    3DMark for Chromebooks

  • I'd love to see how they intend to bring gaming to the chromebooks. And I don't mean flesh browser games. I mean hard-core games like counter-strike, call of duty, Starcraft, WoW, etc. Without proper gaming support, this "OS" will fail hard.

  • Everyone has something negative to say. Nothings ever good enough.

If you don't like it then don't buy it, that simple.

I think this is cool since I use my computer for nothing but the internet and the built in Wi-Fi sounds great!

Unfortunately I just bought a laptop not to long ago :/

  • once again, google is revolutionizing the internet

  • @salakast

Once again retards claim a company has revolutionized the internet by offering less.

ITS A FRICKEN BROWSWER - thats all.

ITs a thin client - that connects to something ELSE to work.

Its a nice thin client though.

But know it for what it is - and stop being so fucking retarded!

  • @jabberwolf it created the best search engine, the best browser, the best internet maps, the best translator, the best phones, and now the best and fastest OS. so to say ITS A FRICKEN BROWSER is an understatement.

  • DATA CAPS.

  • Since when are you allowed to use mobile data networks on aircraft?

  • @HSetOSCAR It said "Where Wi-Fi available."

  • @oneHellvalley

Not many planes DO have WiFi if not any

  • my asus netbook boots up in 45 second, and its MUCH MUCH more powerful. i5 processor and GT310. It still has 6 hours of battery and its cheaper. and i can even play powerful games on it

  • @daknifez That's really cool. I'm going to let your purchase history affect my personal decisions!

  • Yes, "stay connected with the chromebook" pay for Internet 3G, acess your files in specific locations only, and all that just because you were too lame to buy a laptop computer

  • I will buy a noteslate instead..

    also 100$ >550$

  • that picture comes from nirvana's nevermind. haha i like that.

  • /watch?v=i_T6n2tz8Qg funny parody.

  • "blazing fast" is a relative term, compared to a 14.4k modem in which a standard cell phone web browser uses 3G @ 500kbps really is "blazing fast". On average 3G is about the speed of the phone company's basic DSL plan and 4G is about the speed of the cable company's basic internet.

  • From the link in the description: "When you do not have network access, functionality that depends on it [Chromebook] will not be available." So, no internet = no computer. And unless all the DVD games i have can be played on a browser, this is one for the old and optimistic.

  • google please answer one question. What do we do when we don't have any access to the internet?

  • @thehabeeeeeb I'll answer for them if that's cool. You'll be limited to just sites that work in offline mode. Google's been pushing offline support for a good while now, and google mail & docs have actually supported it for a few years (they resync when you connect again). Basically if the site was specifically designed to work while you're offline then it will. Hopefully this will be pushed for with most utility sites you add through the chrome store.

  • /watch?v=i_T6n2tz8Qg Ill be responding to all coments on my parody (chrome book) for the first hour,

  • Actually, the 3G speed is alot better than what you see on Smartphones. My 3G is just fine to use in comparison to a typical Wifi network. I dunno why that is, but it's convenient.

  • 3G ! Blazing Fast! Tell that to my half hour video load time!

  • CHROME CHROME CHROME! I LOVE IT

  • ...and for those RARE moments when you're NOT connected, it's wonderful time to actually THINK and decide whether you do have a life or not!

  • @JustCallMeDan hahaha goood one man yess

  • Best Invention Ever

  • it's 3G wait about 5 month and there is 4G

  • love how they automatically think i live on the web...

    ...and theyre right

  • 0:38 the taco took a shit!!!

  • haha nirvana poster @ 0:09

  • windows 7 and lion were made after the web, just saying you should know that google

  • 3g is blazingly fast yo

  • well,it's amazing but it's use is limited it can't have games I mean REAL games E3 games and can't have programs it only has internet so that's why it's usage is limited

  • DO YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE INTERNET SERVICE?

  • @dandarya with 3g you get 100 MB of downloads a month free.

  • I was so disappointed that canada is not on the list of the countries where chrome os will be released in June. When, for the love of god, when will I get my hands on the chromebook in canada.

  • Are yoou saying i live on the web...i didnt think so!!!

  • that taco truck thingy won me over, so placing my chromebook order... n no i aint kidding.

  • boobs.

  • Do I have to pay for this internet monthly or no?

  • For these purposes I would take ipad!

  • i dont live on the web

  • What's this 'blazing fast mobile data network' you speak of?

  • @Skuu And where? Not in the netherlands.

  • @DocM20 Actually they have good internet connection in the netherlands.

Maar das alleen als je kan betalen.xD

  • @Skuu Somewhere over the rainbow maybe... But some countries do get very fast data networks

  • @Skuu in australia we have nextG, up to 20Mbps in capital cities and new techs such as WiMax2 around the corner promising up to 100Mbps, and whatever beyond that

  • @Skuu if it's comparing to the 1990s, than yes 3G is Blasing fast

Also, the starter 3G is probably slower than sat the $10 day pass, as most ISPs give you speed on a sliding scale

  • @Koman92040 it gives 100mb of verizon mobile broadband

  • @MrPudding28 100MB is the traffic limit per month, not the amount of traffic that can be downloaded in one second, commonly referred to as bandwidth. You can test your bandwidth at speedtest net

  • @Skuu I think it's Verizon's that will be made in most of the laptops.

  • @MrPudding28 What do you mean 'made in most of the laptops'? Will it be better than the connection I get on my phone? That's my worry.

  • @Skuu #LOL

  • chrome or go home

  • oh my god, sighned up for one, didnt get one, but my friend did -_- I might have been a bit jealous.. I really want to buy one :D

  • @nelson1tom ME TOOO!!!

  • @nelson1tom Chromebooks go on sale on June 15th on amazon and at best buy starting at $349.99
