  • WHAT DU FUCK weres the distorted bass???

  • @GabberCentrafuge ive also been shocked^^

  • thumbs up if you were looking for some hardcore

  • The organ model Lenny played is a Hammond short case A, not a B-3. This was one of the first organs Hammond made. The B-3 didn't come out until the mid 50's. This short case A had many of Lenny's ideas incorporated into it, echo reverb, reiteration for the drawbars on the upper manual, special effects such as the steam engine whistle and many other things. A technician I used to use was Lenny's tech as well.

  • @kghutson What was your organ tech's name !!! flyingfingersmark in Galena Il Owner of a B3 and two 122 Leslies and PR-40 ...also added reiteration to upper manual and a Digitech digital delay stomp box wired into the back of the B3 so I get echo on both manuals and pedals ! Now I would like to find a Hammond Solovox ! Then my B3 should be complete ????? Any comments !!

  • Lenny dee rocks

  • I used to go to Lenny Dee's Dolphin Den in the late 60's, thanks for posting, it brought back great memories of a simpler time.

  • you can't beat the sound of a Hammond organ with Lenny Dee at the keys. I he still around?

  • @john6218att

    Wikipedia says "Lenny Dee: January 5, 1923 – February 12, 2006".

    He became 83 years old.

  • Thank you GreatGizmos

I could listen this video time after time

Dongui is my nickname in Spanish for Bill

And I am a Hammond Fan, of course

  • That's a Hammond B-3.

  • I have a clip of Lenny playing Just A closer Walk With Thee on a Yamaha organ from the Nashville Now program. It was good but not a Hammond.

  • I uploaded a clip with this very same melody and probably the same orchestra backing used here by Lenny Dee - but with a Technics Organ.

The "clone" sound of the Technics is amazing buy very short with the warmth and depth of this Hammond Model A - the best one ever

  • @hammondfanatic Love that melody too. You mentioned that you had probably the same orchestra backing. Would you know where I can find it?

Also can give the URL as to where to posted your clip with the Technics Organ.

    Thanks

  • Len had several tracks completed for an upcoming album that was not released. Closer Walk, Rocky Top, On the Road Again, Amazing Grace come to mind. The back up sound are the great Nashville musicians featured on his later albums, The back ground for his albums were for his use only.

  • What is the running order of this series? This all? Lenny really had command over the hammond.

  • my dad raised me on it so i love lenny dee he is the greatest and will never be forgotten

  • Muchisimas gracias GreatGizmos por compartir con nosotros los fan de Lenny Dee esta bella melodia interpretada por el Gran y Unico Lenny Dee

  • That old model A Hammond of Lenny's was soooo highly customized and his famous tape delay echo going through everything ! Then Lenny being super super talented and educated and a showman ! Owning all the Lenny Dee lp's and spending 2 nights with Lenny Dee at his club and speaking with him for a half hour before he did his Show and pictures of Lenny and I in front of his White model A Hammond !WOW!

  • I loved Lenny's playing. These videos are wonderful. Thank you so much!
