@stratocastermojo Sam Cooke would be so proud that his song was sung by these great guys they did a good job on it. Sam just left to quick.RIP MR.COOKE
Just wonderful @slapaclown, there have been lots of positive bluesmen through the years . Taj Mahal comes to mind as a bluesman with one positive song after another who has been putting out new music for 40+ years. I put Keb Mo in his category which is a high compliment. These two are just great together and this is such a great song. Nobody has ever done it better than this.
Hey silly fighters,I love his music too! it´s not about what we do...but what we SAY...especially when one is saying this to lots of people...without any interest beyond his guitar playing!
Docmalone, it´s not about what we do...but what we SAY...especially when one is saying this to lots of people...without any interest beyond his guitar playing!
@Tuirapanui Robert said, "Where we at?" Keb said "Winnepeg", Keb then said, "We aint been drinkin that much, we drink to the point where we still know where we're at then we stop".
@Tuirapanui Grow up you stupid person...even if he were drinking water or soda, when you gotta pee, then do it. What the hell is your mental problem? Having to pee does not detract from a persons ability to play guitar or pretty much anything else.
Huh...LOVE these guys....do NOT like the arrangement, especially the crappy keyboard voicing. It works much better in 6/8 than 4/4. Sam Cooke and Lou Rawls can't be beat on this one, I'm afraid.
Couldn't agree more with yr comments in the vid info, Elvischik.. keb is an old friend & the most eloquent man in concert... both Robt & he kick ass together... always hear from friends seeing Keb for first time that it's one of the best concerts they EVER saw.I was lucky enough to join him for sev days in Italy where he headlined the ITALIAN BLUES FEST.,amazing! Keb was the first "positive blues man" & also walks the walk. Cray is a brilliant artist. They so compliment each other.Thnx 4 posting!
@slapaclown I so appreciate people who know their music no matter what kind. I totally agree with you--although I've never been to the Italian Blues Fest...you lucky dog! Have a great week!
Perfect matching! They are bonded like brothers. Yes, they ARE the Blues Brothers! It should have been done long ago and it should be done many more times. Why not a world tour? Pls come to NZ!!
Can you imagine hearing this type of music for the first time? For those kids in the 50's, it shocked their senses so much that their parents wouldn't allow them to listen to it. Expression from the heart has that effect.
¿Alguien me puede decir lo que hablan al comienzo? Parecen alegres... La música excelente como todo lo que viene desde la voz de Robert, triste también, muy triste
You know,I sometimes think even if you took Crays superlative guitar playing away, his voice equals anything out there,Al Green,Otis Redding,O.V.Wright,to name a very few.Cray is sublime.I heard his voice through a mixing desk once at a gig of his in the UK.I was absolutely blown away. His raw voice is...something to die for.Thank God for Robert Cray.
The version of "Bring It On Home To Me" at the beginning of Ali is actually an interpretation of a version found on Sam Cooke's "Live at the Harlem Square Club" album. If you really want to have your mind blown, check that version out. Makes the Ali version seem tame.
You should try out David Elliott's interpretation of this great Sam Cooke Song in the beginning of the movie "Ali" with Will Smith as Muhammad Ali. It'll just blow you away.
Blues music and a Hammond B3 organ a great combination. Great song and great artist.

Idiomatic French not your strong point then! Le pied = awesome! And maybe "Two giants of the guitar" for the other bit ... Go back ta school ! :-)
