i know that this is probably going to sound stupid, but I just started out with make-up. I just ordered all of the NYX ultra pearl pigment things like the mac ones from cherryculture, and i was just wondering how you would apply that, like do you have to have a wet brush, or is it just like regular eyeshadow you just dip the brush in it and put it on your eyes?

You can apply it either way. It's pretty much the same as using mineral eyeshadow, only super pigmented. Just be careful you don't apply too much; barely grab any on the brush, and tap off the excess before applying. :)

It makes sense, but unfortunately I don't think I can explain myself because when I sit down to do makeup, I may have an idea of whether I want a dark vs light eye or warm vs cool toned, but other than that, I don't ever plan makeup out. I just sit down and it's almost instinct I guess one might say... whatever "feels" right.
