When it comes to halfpipe the guy has become the blueprint. Literally players hurt themselves trying to keep up. He knows how to win in the big moments, he knows what the judges want to see. There may be better riders but when you don't deliver on the big stage you don't get the big opportunities. He's earned what he has including the ego.

@rumahasit no kevin fell trying a cab double cork in park city while training for the grand prix's, it was brutal, i saw it :/ and no kevin had a private pipe for a month if that, that was only half the size of shaun's pipe. and kevin's didn't have a fome pit, he had an air bag which still hurts like a futher mucker to land on. yeah i agree with you saying shaun can bring it when it comes to the competitioin scene, cause he doesn't choke. but he still has no right to be cocky, knowone does.

He has socialized with celebrities for the past 15 years, has relatives in the Industry, and did stuntwork on films when he was younger. He consistently uses the pronoun "you" in interviews. "When "you" drop in to the...." Who is "you"? He used "we" at Winter-x. There is no one else in the pipe. He includes EVERYONE and not just a "group" of people. When he wins...everybody wins. Egotistical is consistently "I ,I, I or me, me, me". Here it is grammatically correct.

There are doctor's & there are "specialists", where neither are egotistical when stating a diagnosis(a fact), not an opinion. He has mastered the sport and earned the degree of confidence to "profess" that he knows what he is doing and talking about. He is confident in stating a factual truth. Earning over 125 gold medals...it IS about all about him.
