@harleybayo Songkran is held throughout Thailand, in April, but each city usually has its own day. Songkran is the Thai New Year, lasts several days and its a BLAST!!!! On the last day, you can even blast the Thai cops with water. Those Thais sure know how to party!

I went last year when it was Songkran, it was mad as fk. There was no way you coukd take your camera or phone out. We bought a load water guns it was brilliant fun.

Songkran.. my favorite holdiay..

the holday starts in Chiang Rai region in the north.. where local monks parade a Buddah throught the town..water is splashed onto the Buddah then collected, the collected water then is used to spalsh elders/people of respect..White Clauk whick monks use in thei prayers is placed on faces when making offerings...Songkran has evoled into a 3 day water party,,,my favorite holiday,,, please come to THAILAND and  enjoy Songkran with us,,,,
