As far as I understand, you didn't actually capture your motion but manually tracked and keyframed 19 vertices in 3D space. It's not a mocap - it's rotoscopy. This title is misleading.
HEEEEY MAN! way to go!!! if you programmed that yourself that's SICK! I am really looking forward to its further versions, this could be revolutionary man! especially for freelance artists who can't afford to buy Motion Capture :)
Interesting work... I'm only partially convinced though. Maybe it is your lack of rigging knowledge but the movements are not the same. The characters knee bends inverted! Though there is enough movement there that I am convinced it is working. Now explain to me how you got from image to code!...lolz
and at 16? this will sure keep the big boys eyes on you to follow your work - so do what the pros do, share what you know and you'll learn more!!! i quote that from somewhere, trust me works all the time!
hey dude, this is my second time round to visit view this including the face one! just want to tell you to keep up the good work, i know real mocap machines are very expensive but i encourage you to do tutorials on these - you'll be suprised on the positive feedback you'll get, not to mention the pros will throw some tip, heheh, who knows?
2 things to consider... I would add a chest marker, as its a rigid body, like your head and hips... they never deform. Also your character's feet slide around or "skate"... you may be able to remedy this by first defining a ground plane, you might also consider defining your capture as well.
Dude your pretty clever! I don't mean to sound like I'm exploiting you, but you should consider coding your software into python temporarily as a plugin loader for Blender 3d.
Or download blender 3d source code and integrate your code into Blenders 3D.
Blender is Open source and it has an extensive BVH/C3D motion capture import capability, but by adding an integrated facial motion capture system would be nothing less than revolution for blender animators. Search Youtube Big Buck Bunny.
start up a team of moddelers and texture maker (what ever you call em)
and you could go to great lengths
(Definetly get a moddeler or a better moddelin program the models made for you face tracking and body tracking wernt very compatible to real human movements
