If this happened now, I am sure that the Pakistani government and Army Heads of that time would be indicted for War Crimes. They enacted genocide on the Bengalis, killing educated people and intellectuals as a priority. There is even footage on youtube of the said Army murdering students at a university. I think the main reason the Pakistani government wanted Bangladesh was because of it's minerals and fertile land. I mean why else do invaders go into a land if its of no benefit?

The person directing the oath taking is the valiant freedom fighter, Brig. Khaled Mosharraf of East Bengal Regiment and sector-2. He was so brilliant as to operate a successful guerilla campaign in Dhaka as well as fighting conventional wars in comilla sector. He himself was seriously wounded in the war.
