New York has the worst traffic. Thats why they have people on bycicles riding down the rode to deliver stuff because the traffic is so fucked. L.A traffic isnt even bad. At midnight you hardly see any cars on the freeway.

If you go to Vancouver, there are no freeways at downtown. But everywhere you go down there has bunch of traffic jams cause there's lots of construction.
Well, New York's traffic is not that bad. It depends on where you want to go or how many routes you could take because they are other ways to get to Manhattan. You could take the 3rd Avenue Bridge and go on the FDR which is the most poorly constructed expressway known to man and if traffic moves alright from there on, you are set. You don't have to deal with the George Washington Bridge/Bronx River Expressway exit where it is mostly backed up. You could take the 3rd Avenue Bridge to avoid that.
Well yeah, Same goes for L.A. they say the traffic is so bad and blah blah.. All depends where you are going.. Some people are just to stupid to think.
New York's traffic is far, far worse. Heck, even New Jersey suburbs have worse traffic than LA. I've sat on the 405 from Sepulveda pass all the way to Torrance and yeah, it sucks that it takes 2 hours. But over here, it takes 2 hours to cross the George Washington Bridge and then get to midtown which is half the distance. In July I got from Studio City to Malibu in a half hour at 6pm on a Friday- a far cry from the parking lot that is the GSP/NJ Turnpike on a weekend.
We fly to NYC once a year to visit my dads family who lives in Westchester and the traffic does suck in the city. LA's traffic is bad in most areas but NO WHERE NEAR as bad as NYC's traffic. We went to the Allstar game this year and the cab we were riding in got into a fender bender, the traffic was SO bad that the cab driver didn't even stop.

i live in San Francisco, but ive been to L.A few time and I loved it. The Beaches!!! mainly, the boardwalks, thres people everywhre includin late night. Would it change my perspective if I move and work there? SF is only 10-15square miles and its neighborhood cities in the bay are pretty much boring. Beside Napa, Oysters to the North, and Santa Cruz... its really calm over here.
That sucks for anyone driving in LA. Luckily in Sacramento we have plenty of freeways but the traffic is not as bad. only around the I-5 area in downtown and the Capital City freeway get majority of the traffic. Thats why I live in Sacramento great weather lots of things(river lake old sac cal expo) to do. Never ever move to Los Angeles, not even if you get a high paying job. It is not worth it. I don't see how anyone could possibly like living here. I have friends who live in LA and think they will become movie stars. You will never become a movie star so get real. Traffic is bad, it is extremely dangerous to live here, and nobody respects anything here or has any courtesy, let alone, common sense.
Here's a story back in the late 70s that mom did. While she was working for an agency that was run by celebrities that use to do various business in New York, she would answer phones and other necessities to that person. While the agency company moved to California, my mother asked my dad if we could move there. My father rigthly said, "No." Nothing changed after that and my mother then landed a job as the secretary for the Board of Education later on.
Most people that live here are from other states.... Mainly why people here are rude.. and I mean come on California has everything.. and it reflects all other states in manyy ways. It's like all states into one.
I live in Austin and almost all new people I meet said they moved here from California and NYC. The rent has gone up and when I ask apt. managers why-they specifically say that alot of people from CA and NY move here because it's cheap and they will pay full price for an apt that most people down here can't afford so the prices keep going up because of this. I've noticed more rude people than ever before and I'm not saying all CA & NY people are rude except the ones that moved here.

I've lived in the LA shit-hole for 2 years now. One of my friends who actually lives this dump told me I would get used to it. To be honest, I think Tijuana, Mexico is nicer than Los Angeles. If I get really rich, I will raise money to build a bridge that goes over LA so nobody has to look at it.
Toronto's problem is the snow.That a problem,and may cause serious problems.If Los Angeles had snow the freeways would go 0-1 MPH.I hate traffic jams.
I wish LA had more transportation options like other big cities such as street cars, subways, light rail, even high speed rail like Tokyo. I'm glad Metro is building new rail lines but its still has a long way to go for the mass transit system becomes world class.
traffic just doesnt exist around the surrounding cities near LA but as far away as 65-70 miles away. i live about 50 miles east of downtown LA and at 4:30 5 in the morning i-10 is almost jammed from where i get on to LA. there are some spots where its fine but it is hell to commute every day. i-10 is horrible but nothing compared to other routes like the 5,405,91,and 110 freeways. those are some of the worst.
Atlanta's traffic is just as bad as Los Angeles (I've lived in both ). LA's rush hour just seems a little longer.
Also, when it rains in Atlanta (which it normally does quite often ), all hell breaks lose. Entire road system comes to a total hault for hours on end.
I was only playing around with my camera when I shot this. I could easily find more congestion if I tried to. I've never been to NY, so I'll have to take your word for the traffic out there.
I'm probably going to do another video about traffic soon. There is a section of freeway downtown that I drive regularly. Some people wait until the last minute to change lanes to get a few car lengths ahead of the traffic. This is seriously inconsiderate and causes the freeway to slow down even more. Jerks! I guess it will be my way of getting even; cause I can't write them a ticket. At least their "Me First" attitude will be documented for anyone to see.
the video only shows just a bit of how los angeles traffic looks like. you haven't see the traffic near downtown area, all you saw just a normal los angeles freeway at any point on the freeway and anytime of the day. you drive to downtown better prepare your day, cause sometimes it's going to cost you all afternoon

what is so good about LA? there's Hollywood, and then what? but in paris there is the Efiel Tower, Arc de Triumph, Notre Dame, etc. New York The empire state building (there use to be the WTC and they are rebuilding it), Wall street, Time Square, etc. i didnt say LA was a bad city, but its defintaly not a great one. Well, New York's traffic is not that bad. It depends on where you want to go or how many routes you could take because they are other ways to get to Manhattan. You could take the 3rd Avenue Bridge and go on the FDR which is the most poorly constructed expressway known to man and if traffic moves alright from there on, you are set. You don't have to deal with the George Washington Bridge/Bronx River Expressway exit where it is mostly backed up. You could take the 3rd Avenue Bridge to avoid that.

New York's traffic is far, far worse. Heck, even New Jersey suburbs have worse traffic than LA. I've sat on the 405 from Sepulveda pass all the way to Torrance and yeah, it sucks that it takes 2 hours. But over here, it takes 2 hours to cross the George Washington Bridge and then get to midtown which is half the distance. In July I got from Studio City to Malibu in a half hour at 6pm on a Friday- a far cry from the parking lot that is the GSP/NJ Turnpike on a weekend.

We fly to NYC once a year to visit my dads family who lives in Westchester and the traffic does suck in the city. LA's traffic is bad in most areas but NO WHERE NEAR as bad as NYC's traffic. We went to the Allstar game this year and the cab we were riding in got into a fender bender, the traffic was SO bad that the cab driver didn't even stop.

i live in San Francisco, but ive been to L.A few time and I loved it. The Beaches!!! mainly, the boardwalks, thres people everywhre includin late night. Would it change my perspective if I move and work there? SF is only 10-15square miles and its neighborhood cities in the bay are pretty much boring. Beside Napa, Oysters to the North, and Santa Cruz... its really calm over here.

That sucks for anyone driving in LA. Luckily in Sacramento we have plenty of freeways but the traffic is not as bad. only around the I-5 area in downtown and the Capital City freeway get majority of the traffic. Thats why I live in Sacramento great weather lots of things(river lake old sac cal expo) to do. Reno to the east, San Francisco to the west, the valley mountains to the north, and of course Los Angeles to the south.

Never ever move to Los Angeles, not even if you get a high paying job. It is not worth it. I don't see how anyone could possibly like living here. I have friends who live in LA and think they will become movie stars. You will never become a movie star so get real. Traffic is bad, it is extremely dangerous to live here, and nobody respects anything here or has any courtesy, let alone, common sense.

Here's a story back in the late 70s that mom did. While she was working for an agency that was run by celebrities that use to do various business in New York, she would answer phones and other necessities to that person. While the agency company moved to California, my mother asked my dad if we could move there. My father rigthly said, "No." Nothing changed after that and my mother then landed a job as the secretary for the Board of Education later on.

I live in Austin and almost all new people I meet said they moved here from California and NYC. The rent has gone up and when I ask apt. managers why-they specifically say that alot of people from CA and NY move here because it's cheap and they will pay full price for an apt that most people down here can't afford so the prices keep going up because of this. I've noticed more rude people than ever before and I'm not saying all CA & NY people are rude except the ones that moved here.

I wish LA had more transportation options like other big cities such as street cars, subways, light rail, even high speed rail like Tokyo. I'm glad Metro is building new rail lines but its still has a long way to go for the mass transit system becomes world class.

traffic just doesnt exist around the surrounding cities near LA but as far away as 65-70 miles away. i live about 50 miles east of downtown LA and at 4:30 5 in the morning i-10 is almost jammed from where i get on to LA. there are some spots where its fine but it is hell to commute every day. i-10 is horrible but nothing compared to other routes like the 5,405,91,and 110 freeways. those are some of the worst.

Atlanta's traffic is just as bad as Los Angeles (I've lived in both ). LA's rush hour just seems a little longer.
Also, when it rains in Atlanta (which it normally does quite often ), all hell breaks lose. Entire road system comes to a total hault for hours on end.

I'm probably going to do another video about traffic soon. There is a section of freeway downtown that I drive regularly. Some people wait until the last minute to change lanes to get a few car lengths ahead of the traffic. This is seriously inconsiderate and causes the freeway to slow down even more. Jerks! I guess it will be my way of getting even; cause I can't write them a ticket. At least their "Me First" attitude will be documented for anyone to see.

the video only shows just a bit of how los angeles traffic looks like. you haven't see the traffic near downtown area, all you saw just a normal los angeles freeway at any point on the freeway and anytime of the day. you drive to downtown better prepare your day, cause sometimes it's going to cost you all afternoon

I used a Variable Frame Rate (14 frames a second) to capture the footage. I played it back at 30 frames a second, so it seems like I sped it up.
