  • These things are made in Perambur, (ICF) Chennai, my city !!!! :)

and Chinese locomotives need high maintenance. Pakistan bought about 90 of those and only 27 are still operational now - just seven years after purchase. It is about being practical with your needs rather than blindly going for what someone else has. In my opinion Bullet Trains are not needed in a hurry in India. What we need is better capacity and higher speeds, coupled with lower costs.

  • For you fighting monkeys information the train was manufactured by ICF, Chennai, India. Sri Lankan railways complained about China made trains some time back. They were involved in a number of accidents. So SLR ordered a few trains from India. Of course they are being sold on an easy credit line. This means the SL government did not purchase them outright.

  • @devsahan im trying to prove this train was made by ICF, Chennai. Any problems? What are you trying to prove anyway?

  • @devsahan dude, I said it was made by ICF, Chennai. Its just an information. I don't remember saying India gave it to Sri Lanka for free. got it? What are you trying to prove?
