  • Coni court- ? If its you guys, hi! Omg I hope we don't play it this fast... sob... us 3rd clarinets have the hard part...

    And go PMS!

  • We're playing this this year! Boy am I glad to be a french horn player!

  • This song is easy but still brings a challenge for us

  • This song is extremely difficult I'm on third clarinet and the sixteenth notes are killing us

  • Sounds like a take on Silverado.

  • @JediTrombonist Because it is.

  • My bro is playing this song

  • This is really good

  • Jr. Allstate last year! The music isn't nearly as hard this year, though...

  • Our Bassoon can't reach the high notes on the solo, so, I GET IT! :D ... I play Euphonium, by the way :)

  • @GroovyFunk12 I play the bassoon solo for it.....the highest it goes to is high F... >.< lol

  • I'm playing this in seventh grade. 3rd chair clarinet. And let me say... We are so screwed.

  • im playing this in 8th grade .... i am first chair flute and um its kinda hard..... i like the sixteenth notes

    im playing the flute solos

  • I am playing this in my high school concert band and I have the TROMBONE SOLO!!! WOOOOOO lol and I am 1st chair and a SOPHMORE!!

  • I played this a few years ago (1st trombone). Two lovely memory spots. The high Gb in the solo that I could never hit (easy now lol), and the ridiculous 16th notes in the last measure. I literally flutter-tongued it and still had problems playing it that fast. I ended up making it eighth notes for performances. Good times :-)

  • this is hard to play for a clarinet. well, at least for me haha. the clarinet has all the really fast scales and wierd rests

  • We're playing this in community band; I keep waiting for the Marlboro Man to come riding through the door. I'm not familiar with any of R's other music, but this seems to me to be a pale imitation of the Theme from the Magnificent Seven.

  • If you guys want to know what song Steven Reineke blatantly stole this melody from, type in "Silverado Theme" into the youtube search bar above you. I've spoken with Steven Reineke personally, and I happen to know this for a fact.

  • Oh gosh we're playing this in band, this is a really beautiful piece! :)

  • waaaaaahnsiinnn ich bekomme jetzt noch einen gänsehaut wenn ich an unser wertungsspielen denke...das lied ist sowas von geil

  • Steven Reinekes is a musical genius! What a masterpiece! Not to many artists who can include such a warm trombone solo and still the keep the plot the way it was meant to be!

  • @Eliminator1515 hes not a music genius. he copies other songs and changes them slightly and makes money.

  • @Eliminator1515 Exuse me, who are you to say anything about the way trombones can, and cannot play? It wasn't the composer that made the trombone solo sound good, it was the trombonist himself.

  • @SemperFidelis52 The composer is the one that made all the notes, dynamics, etc. of the solo. Of course the trombone player made the solo itself sound amazing AFTER the composer wrote it. I simply didn't mention it because people (like you) already know it, and people (like me) know I don't need to acknowledge it because there are not many idiots out there who think that the way they read something is the way it was meant to be read. I am a trombone player, who are you to comment on who I am?

  • @Eliminator1515

As a trombone player, I've actually performed this solo live, and it's actual composition is not very noteworthy. Not only do all of Steven Reineke's compositions follow the EXACT SAME SONG STRUCTURE(And I mean EXACT.) as each other, but the man steals all of his melodies from other composers. As a composer, I can tell you Steven Reineke is nothing special, considering I've met the man in person.

  • @JrvUnleashedMusic

I couldn't agree more. I compared "sedona" and "where eagles soar" in one of my music programs and i swear i've never seen two pieces more similar in my life! Reineke is a terrible composer.

  • @BestBuyReallySucks

It's not just those 2. I can find 6 songs written by him that have the exact same song structure. There is another song where the trombone part is very similar, just the melody over it is altered. As a trombone player(playing the chords and background in most music) I can tell more than most. The only difference is that the solo is played by a trumpet instead of a trombone.

  • @BestBuyReallySucks

Here is Reineke's song structure for all his music:

Intro-this is either minimalistic or loud-followed by a small climax, then a statement of the melody through woodwinds, then the statement of the melody through brass, a solo followed by a soft woodwinds feature, then a crescendo into a sort of grand chord-heavy section, which then transitions back into the statement of the melody by the woodwinds, then the brass, and then the outro.

  • Fantastic!!!!! :)

  • うまいな~~~

  • @basstrombone970 それはもちろん、プロフェッショナルの人たちが演奏したものなのですから。。。

  • 良い曲ですね♪

  • isnt this the theme from silverado??.....i was watching amc and this came on during the beginning of the movie and i was like O_o i play this in band....

  • @Tomthetuba666

Haha that's really funny. I actually played this song today at a high school festival, and afterwords during a clinic the judge told us this song is basically a rip-off of Silverado's theme (we didn't lose points for that or anything).

  • @Begeru all music is ripped off from someone else. lol take the good ideas from the great and change it up a tad.
