@JerseyShore117 were u not scared of the windows breaking on you,, Im a weather enthusiast when hurricane irene came thru central Virginia, the wind gust were 70-75 and i was scared of the windows breaking,,
This video scares the hell out of me because it reminds me of a bad bow echo storm that hit two years ago... around about 2 in the morning though... I was pretty sure a tornado was going to hit; and one did, about 3 miles north of our house!
i remember that i was scared cuz i thought it was a tornado so i told my mom and we took shelter under our stairs and waited a while and so we turned on the news and it said it was just a huge gust of wind and i was relived.
I think frisco was the city that had the tornado in the afternoon if i remember correctly. Correct me if i'm wrong. The tornado sirens went off in plano, but there was no tronado in plano. it was somewhere near frisco.
not to mention you're only a 12 yr old little kid! i was chasing storms before you were even born! i have 2 kids your age! you better stick to riding bikes, playing with transformers, and making sure you're home before the streetlights come on so mommy don't spank you.
@criind Ha! lol, I knew bigazzpimp407 was a fake! I got a tornado on film, and he was saying he worked for the National Weather Service and I didn't see a tornado. Well, I was there, he wasn't, and I got a tornado on FILM, and he's saying it's not. The reason I know he's a fake is because people who work for the National Weather Service get fired if they use profanity on internet... Sorry you had to take his shit, you got a free suscriber, and a free thumbs up :)
@SMITEM1 You didn't see a tornado numbnuts! It was a rain shaft. Your Mother should have swallowed. You and criind need to spit each others cocks out.
I can 100% guarantee you that the wind in this video is NOT 25-45mph. There were multiple reports in that region following this storm of winds gusting over hurricane force. Sure, saying that these are 100mph sustained winds would be overstating, but saying that there were gusts to 75-100mph would not.
I remember that one. I think I was headed down I-35 toward Denton, right through the heart of it. I was SCREAMING for God to help me get home. Does anyone remember the one we had in Plano that actually had a tornado touch down around I-90 and Dallas Pkwy.? I think it was around 2001 or before. I had to drive without working windshield wipers through it. OMG!
Yea, see you know that it was 100mph winds as well. Some comments on my footage of that storm are of people saying that it was probably 60mph winds, but 60mph winds can't pick up a full size trampoline and throw it 50 feet which happened to my grandparents who live in plano. Our basketball goal for our pool was thrown to the other side of our pool, and we had trees uprooted and snapped and fences down everywhere. It was one of the best storms I've been through.
Well I hate to burst your bubble, but 60 m.p.h. winds can easily pick up a full sized trampoline and throw it several hundred feet. 60 mile an hour winds can uproot small trees and snap large ones as well. The winds in this video are NOT 100 m.p.h., but they are impressive. At the peak gust, they were probably more along the lines of 65 to 75 m.p.h. Still not too shabby!
You're welcome to your opinion, of course, but I disagree with you. I've been in measured 70mph winds, and these were much stiffer gusts. They actually drove the water up through the door jam of my second floor balcony!
didn't know that the weather service in northern indiana monitored the weather in plano...thanks for looking out for us. i was at a plano fire station that night and went on multiple damaged buildings AND UPROOTED TREES...the damage was not caused by winds of 60mph or less...it was way more - metal was peeled back, roofs ripped off, trailers blown into gas stations...thanks though...keep us safe with your knowledge
60 mile an hour winds can uproot trees! if this were 100 mile an hour winds, which it's not, it would've uprooted that tree in the front yard and tossed those cars driving by. and yes, a 60 m.p.h. wind can most definitely pick up a trampoline and toss it with no problem. if you live in Texas then you should know better!
30mph winds can uproot a tree, it just all depends on how well the root structure is. Then the question of why do trees survive with just broken limbs when going through a tornado...same reason. The winds were 75-85mph with occasional gusts to a 100mph. Check out my video of the storm and you'll get a better idea of how strong the winds were. Although our tree did remain standing, it shredded the root ball which made the tree die. =D
How bout the transformer or power lines blowing at the beginning, no power outages from that neither?

@joshthesupertagger I think some people lost power nearby, but we were lucky.

Whoever posted this should rename this video to 75 mph winds, not 100 mph.
bigazzpimp407 5 months ago
@bigazzpimp407 I based it on the news and weather channel reports from that time, not just personal judgment.

That's crazy! It's probably a good thing it didn't go out.

@JerseyShore117 Just a little damage to the carpeting and the wood by the balcony door from all the rain, but nothing too bad. We were very lucky!

100 mph winds will not knock down your house. It might blow off some shingles, though. Those winds were at least 80mph...

i agree at least 75-80 mph

Not 25 to 45. That's about 75-80 most of the video. About halfway in there looks like there is a gust that's about 90-105.
CaseRed0605 3 years ago 2

Yes, we lost power, but long before that.
I think the flash you see there was actually lightning that struck directly across the street at the TI plant.
