The other officers reasonably believed they were being shot at so they returned fire. I know there was no gun, but it was...
reasonable to believe that he had one. Remember the story of an officer responding to a call that someone had a gun in the suburbs? The officer responded and saw a kid with a gun, he ordered the kid to drop it but he didnt. The officer shot and killed the kid. It turned out that the gun was just a squirt gun, but the officer was not held responsible. You know why? Because he reasonably reacted to the information that he had at that time. Hind sight is always 20/20

Clearly the warning was given. Guzman and Benefeild were both caught lying on the stand about that night. The drugs they threw out the window was also evidence that they knew Isnora was a cop. They mistakenly thought that they were still being fired upon. They heard the detective yell "gun" and then they heard gunshots and saw shattering glass. They couldnt tell where the bullets were coming from so they reacted as if they were being shot at. Maybe they got scared that they were going to be killed so one of the officers fired too many times. Most of the shots (31) came from a single officer. He did shoot too many times but what he did wasn't criminal, it was reasonable.

More importantly, why do you think the officer was giving a warning? That was not the warning, the officer was responding to a threat he reasonably thought existed because another officer yelled "gun". If a friend of yours yelled "gun" and you all of a sudden heard gunshots, wouldnt you think that possibly you were being shot at?
The thing is, officers are trained to shoot to kill. There is never a situation where the officer only has the authority to "shoot to wound", it just doesnt work that way. So if bell was killed with 3 bullets it would have been ok, but since there were more, his death was inexcusable? The only thing the officers are guilty of is being bad shots.

The officer responded and saw a kid with a gun, he ordered the kid to drop it but he didnt. The officer shot and killed the kid. Clearly the warning was given. Guzman and Benefeild were both caught lying on the stand about that night. The drugs they threw out the window was also evidence that they knew Isnora was a cop. These guys were career criminals, why would you believe them over the evidence? Remember that, 14 times arrested. Still believe their story? I mean the second story they told, because they already admitted they were lying the first time they took the stand.

They mistakenly thought that they were still being fired upon. They heard the detective yell "gun" and then they heard gunshots and saw shattering glass. They couldnt tell where the bullets were coming from so they reacted as if they were being shot at. Maybe they got scared that they were going to be killed so one of the officers fired too many times. Most of the shots (31) came from a single officer. He did shoot too many times but what he did wasn't criminal, it was reasonable.

@tanman32123 First of all it wouldnt have taken even close to two minutes, considering it was probably about 2-3 shots per second, per officer. More importantly, why do you think the officer was giving a warning? That was not the warning, the officer was responding to a threat he reasonably thought existed because another officer yelled "gun". If a friend of yours yelled "gun" and you all of a sudden heard gunshots, wouldnt you think that possibly you were being shot at?

The thing is, officers are trained to shoot to kill. There is never a situation where the officer only has the authority to "shoot to wound", it just doesnt work that way. So if bell was killed with 3 bullets it would have been ok, but since there were more, his death was inexcusable? The only thing the officers are guilty of is being bad shots.

You are reffering to the John White case and there were more than just one kid, and they were threatening the black kid and his father. Now the Father did not have to shoot anybody, but I do understand where he was coming from. Also this is not a case of Cop on innocent victim, so I will wait.
