Also, this commercial was made due to the fact that Starbucks all across the nation will be shutting down for 4 hours to retrain their baristas on the day that Dunkin Donuts decide to sell 99 cents lattes; the purpose of the retraining insures that all baristas follow the brand, guidelines, policies, etc.
The intention of the commercial basically was meant to poke fun at the retraining, and how teaching all baristas to know the name of the sizes was supposedly "crucial".
The commercial was made long before the Starbucks re-training announcement. The end "tag" was put on after the announcement. The commercial aired (with a different tag) way before that day too.
We're not debating whether it's called a chocomocholateemochochino or a coffee. We're making fun of the fact that Starbucks calls it a TALL, GRANDE, or VENTI chocomocholateemochochino. It's the stupidity of the size names that makes everyone make fun of them. Why would a small be called tall when it's short? And grande means large. It's not called the Rio Grande because it's medium sized. And venti is just plain weird. ;)
I've had it with Starbucks, I'm home only thanks to coffeeloverstipsandtricks (.) com

its really not as difficult as people think... tall, grande, venti. A Whoper and a Big Mac are just different names for a fuckin' cheeseburger too.

Yes, but we aren't talking cheeseburgers here. And even if we were, you still order drinks at both those restaurants as small, medium or large.
The best part of the commercials is that the barrista can't spell dieci. She spells it deic... *sigh* I think that both actresses rock regardless.
