I love the T77. I bought it twice. I wish there was a way to customize the firmware....or at leas a way where i can use the "review" button as a direct VIDEO button.

cuz when you open the lens, it turns on and goes into shooting mode.

the only flaws i feel are the redundant power button, the wasted review button and whack system sounds...other than the focus sound and the shutter sound........and the tiny internal memory..............and the kind of choppy, unresponsive interface.

I don't know why i prefers the sony dsc t 77 althought the difference of 4GB and 3.5" LCD..maybe because its more stylish and tinner than the other one but it's still great in its preformance with a good view of your pictures too! Rely it don't "SUCKS" at all as some people said here!!!

and i really like it!

it's a good camera that takes amazing pictures for a camera like itself but don't expect photos to be like the one from proffesional cameras.

My sister just bought the t77 last year..and all I can say is..IT SUCKSSSS...The picture quality is really bad! So many noises! It's just like a quality of a 1.3megapixel nokia cellphone camera and it gets blurred easily! And the touch screen is also bad..the interface is veeeeery slow..I don't recommend this camera for you guys..You'll get your money wasted if you buy this.....What I recommend are Canon cameras. Not that pretty in design but the quality of pictures are really really great

I think they are identical except for the internal memory and a slightly bigger screen (=extra cost).

Personally, it comes down to design and looks. I am buying the t700 because I like its design more, but it was a very close call as both look gorgeous and in my opinion the best looking cameras on the market.

Best thing to do is go to a store and hold it in your hands and see how it looks and feels.

yes it sucks! I had the dsc-w17 (4 years old, 7.2 MP) with which i got real good and clear photos. I am really disappointed by the quality of pictures of T700.

no one review ever take the real look on the camera snap time, continuous snap efficiency etc? Of all the Still camera without large internal memory are painfully slow to store snap shot large jpeg file into the transflash disk. By the time when the image stored, the opportunity would probably slipped by.

im getting this camera soon , and about the t77 ( the one im getting ) in the display at the store , when you touch the screen, its like your touching an lcd screen ( like the crystals move) and there is no stylus, but when i touch the t700 its like your touching an ipod, do you think the t77 is reacting that way because maybe someone touched to hard or its because you shouldnt use your hands ? helllp please !

i just bought this camera 2 months ago. GREAT camera. touch screen is very finger friendly and very stylish. takes good pictures but not the best for a 10.1 megapixel camera. the video recording is great though, but uses a lot of memory.

if you're a teenage girl like me, and care how your camera looks and it's width, get the t-77, because it's more attractive. however, if you're a picture guru and don't want to buy those expensive sony memory cards get the t-700.

I just received the Sony Cybershot T700 , and i am delighted . First of all the design is gorgeous , the best you can get actually right now. The touchscreen is so cool , and what a surprise , the pictures are perfect ! I was amazed , such a little camera, and so beautiful pictures. A must have !

You can use your finger, but it's better to use the pen , otherwise you'll get many fingerprints on the screen, does'nt look good when shut down , though you can't see them when it's turned on .

You have to touch the button above the menu button then select the one that has PGM on it. Then go into the menu on the 3/4 page touch the button that looks like a screen with a plus

No, the touch screen doesn't waste battery life.

Shooting video and using the zoom lens when you take pictures eats the battery power on any camera but touch screen is easy.

You may get fingermarks on the screen but you can't see them when the camera is switched on. The light of the screen makes them disappear so you get a perfect view of whatever you're looking at even if you've put your greasy fingers on the screen a lot.

There actually isn't a black coloured version, the one in the video is the dark/gunmetal grey version. In different lighting the camera looks black or dark grey. When sony takes pictures of the camera, it does it in a well lit studio, so of course the camera colour looks very light compared to how it looks under ordinary lighting such as in this video. Hope this helped!
