Hmm good sounding heads im surprised about your onyx snare most people think it sounds terrible and dead but yours sounds great so you must have tuned it right. Im a guitarist / drummer (play guitar for my band) but yeah I can notice that you playing is a bit off. Dont try to cover it up though man I can tell that some of your fills are off and even if you said you weren't trying, naturally, as the good drummer you say you are should know and keep perfect timing.

Honestly, you're going to want to lower those tomes, raising your arms just to hit the toms is going to tire you out quicker, especially during fills.

I got all G2's on my toms. Snare is a G1. The toms don't ring which is what I like the most. My snare sounds like Slipknot in their early days like Spit It Out and stuff

it's actually a pretty alright video, it showcased his new heads right? like the title says? "Trying out my new evans drumheads" Well hey damn, from what I saw, it looked like he tried those out? And he just wanted to share the sound with people on youtube. I don't think ANYWHERE on this video it said he's trying to show his skill, which he actually has. I'm sorry to all you haters, but he may not be a Neil Peart, but he's not bad like you think he is. I've seen and heard worse.

Hey, just watching your video and you need new cymbals and stands, not just cymbals. but good video :) also, you would benefit a lot from putting your toms lower (via the mid pole that goes into your bass drum. it would just give you a more natural movement whilst going around the kit. and try to break the habit of going into the same beat everytime cause its best to be experimental.

Im not criticizing im just giving you some tips that may or may not improve your drumming :)

You probably already did this but you should tune you floor tom up because some coated heads tend to sound dead if tuned low and nice playing.

hey man, I'm getting that exact same kit in about a month, but one thing I can tell is your toms need to be a lil higher, because I cant hear any attack from the toms, oh and tighten up those snares a lil. I think you'll like it it,

Your drums sound good!! These other people can piss! Your snare needs a little depth...maybe try a thicker head on it--maybe that's just the friggin camera....but your toms sound righteous(even if the holder is upside down--shoot play 'em that way). Your toms sound good!! These idiots here don't realize your are recording on a video camera....Your toms are the kind of toms that the sound doesn't get lost in the mix...they will come through with clarity and punch. Really.

hey you should tighten your toms and i would not recomend those type of evnas snare drum head there good for toms but there not the best for snare drums. so for snare i would get the remo ambassador or the remo pinstripe
