A theory on how to use maxx c, which is demonstrated on this video, is to use maxx c not only to plus off of but more so to put your opponent in a bad situation by letting the waste cards. Usually when maxx c is initially used your opponent is less likely to make bigger plays like removing for spore, but if you wait for the moment when your opponent over commits by removing for spore and such you can essentially leave them in a worse position next turn, while you make your come back

@willitohMaster01 He did it because it puts the opponent in a position where he has to synchro or he wastes spore effect. And when he the opponent does he gets a +2 because he draws for spore. He draws for the synchro and the tengu. Thats why he did that

@Apolyon0 Whats the point in playing a deck that everyone knows and that you know thousands of people will have.With all the cards in the game which I cant even count everyone decides to make the same decks.Never said anyone HAD to run something original its just sad to see the same thing.So if plants are the best and everyone could obtain and have a plant deck you would be happy with that? I hope not because that would be BORING! Plants have been the "best" so long its not as exciting as before

@TheJaceyCee If skill-based mirror matches aren't exciting to you you probably just don't have as deep an understanding of the game as these guys do. If you want to play decks that excite you, that's absolutely fine, but you need to respect the competitive approach that some people take towards the game. If they play to win, they're going to play the best deck available to them, period. that's their prerogative, and you are not better or above them for not sharing that attitude with them.

@TheJaceyCee oh and it is my and many other players' dreams that there is a format one day where everyone plays the same deck with small tech variations, something like a cheaper Teledad, because single deck formats have proven time and time again to be the greatest testers of skill in any card game. deckbuilding is fun and there is always room for it, but it doesn't always have to be in archetype variation. hate all you want, but this is my way of seeing it.

A one deck format turns out to be usually the more skill full in our OPINIONS but I personally can't keep playing the same shit all day... It would also be skill full to play many different decks if everyone played their own style custom to them not the format. You would have to adjust your play style in a certain way to win and that would be challenging.

the degree is fading with each release of broken ass cards. I'm not saying they suck or anything.They are good players, but lets be honest the best player in the world will get stomped out with the wrong hand. not to mention victories when using a plant variant is expected. I mean kick out the cash to build a plant/tengu/tour guide combination deck and you will be topping ycs's too. unless you make stupid ass misplays or are completely new to the deck.

@darksidehavok There is luck in it and it does all boil down to what cards you have in your hand, but luck is no a HUGE part in it. It is mostly skill. Who do you think makes the deck? Do you think it's just thrown together? No. It takes skill making the deck and putting cards in giving you the best chances of getting a good hand more times than not. There's more skill ivolved in this game that you obviously can't see.

I see what this game has become and remember what it was like when you didn't have broken cards that let you Ham out in 1 or 2 turns. building a winning deck takes skill... unless you are playing plants or agents. then the deck is half built for you.

Plants- tengux3, lonefire, spore, dandy, glow-up, oneforone, avarice, solemn brigade, foolish, mind control, staples, and a bunch of mill and/or stall cards.

a few good tech choices and bam! your topping tournys... smh...

@darksidehavok Yeah, I see what you're saying on that. I think a lot of the originality has left and I'm big on that. I do enjoy playing Diva Zombie Plants and its already built for me, but I use a lot of different tech choices like Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon which everyone thinks sucks for some weird reason. They atk Pyramid Turle and bam you got a 2400 beater for free. Or you can atk into a monster u can't get over and they sum Re-Eyes and now you can. If Gachi is on the field.
