  • kieth was the heart beat of the who and could never be replaced and this is the best LP they ever made ! lol afriend of mine saw them well went to the concert but fell asleep lol in the days of qualudes lol

  • I saw them in 1975. The warm-up band was Toots and the Maytals. The crowd booed them off the stage. WE WANT THE WHO was the chant.

Keith Moon was fantastic. Starkey's playing is beyond excellent, but he ain't Keith.

  • @wolfpat I'm so jealous! I was only 6 at that time. I love this album!

  • One Michelangelo

    One Mozart

    One Hemingway

    Then there is The Who

  • Of course, there is the Zeppelin.

    Especially when it rains......

  • This is my favorite song from Quadrophenia.

    Simply awesome

  • Mine, too. A masterpiece. The whole album is amazing. Certain albums you listened to from beginning to end and they were more than just entertainment- they were intense experiences. Quadrophenia is one of those albums.

  • @Terranova0 A Masterpiece!!! Pure Genius!!

  • townshend genius lyricist...just the best rock band ever!!!!

  • very cool. The Who so far ahead of their time it's not funny. But, I guess one needs to be a real Who fan to really get it. They are different.

  • "Come sleep on the beach, keep within my reach. I just wanna die with you here, I feel so high when you're near."

No line gets to me more then that.

  • "UV light making star shine of her smile," How Lovely is that?

  • goofoff1966, Lovely indeed! Some of the most beautiful lyrics EVER!

  • The pictures are from the who's Quadrophenia(to the guy who asked). I thought everyone would kow where these pictures are from. Im 16 and know haha. Quadrophenia is possibly one of the best films ever made. The who are probably the best band there ever is and ever was.

  • Abosofreakingloutly

  • I love this song. "Quadrophenia" is the best Who album, so emotional, so rocking. The lyrics and songwriting are pretty much brilliant!

  • Pete agrees with that

  • ... " why didn't I say what I mean ... "

  • Best song ever possibly.

But what are these pictures from? A movie of something?

  • SolidLovin, the scenes are from the film-version of "Quadrophenia".

  • The best song from Quadrophenia!

I never would have made it through my teen years without this.

  • Daltrey rules!!!

  • ."..There's a story that the grass is so green... what did I see? Where have I been?

Nothing is planned by the Sea and the sand."

  • A very important album straight from the heart of English culture.

    Really does have its momements.

  • fun song. GREAT album. Very underrated.

  • Agreed, but I don't think anyone underrates it. It's widely considered one of the best creative pieces in the history of Western music.

  • Greatest album ever, probably strikes a chord with a majority of young men. It got me through the tough years. Now, 30 years later, it's like an old friend.

  • The Quadrophenia album has no equal. This album probably has meaning to just about every young man - 'cept the silver spoon boys. This album got me through the rough years. Thirty years later I still listen to it - it's a trusted old friend.
