There where far more bands with the thrash sound in that time rather then metallica...Mentioning the fact that european thrash bands (especially german) bands where completely overlooked over the american ones.... Metallica was just lucky enough to make it big.

I'm a 19 year old girl and I love metal and things like Metal Church, Testament, Megadeth, old Skid Row, Judas Priest, Vixen, Lita Ford, etc. There are definitely girls out there that are like me, it just seems like it's hard to find them. I'd much rather listen to my metal and whatnot than something like Justin Bieber or Lil Wayne...

@Crystasorrow I agree, girls like you are incredibly hard to find.... It's always scene kids thinking they're metalheads or just try listening to metal as a way of making themselves look badass. Scene kids are the most pathetic because once a new trendy band comes along they forget about whatever the fuck they used to like and change styles, but they still use the bands to groom themselves. The typical posers listen to disturbed and metallica and think they're cool lol...

@colosalguitarist They are overrated because their extremely mediocre albums from the last years get praised as if they are metal masterpieces (wich they are not....) And they did not start anything. There where far more bands with the thrash sound in that time rather then metallica...Mentioning the fact that european thrash bands (especially german) bands where completely overlooked over the american ones.... Metallica was just lucky enough to make it big.
