I find Liberace's music joyous and fun...my point would be that while it is true that "a persons life is their own business" how they live has a consequence. One cannot create incriminating information from vapor. Liberace was a homosexual and during this trial he lied, and then lived in such promiscuity that he like so many others left us before they should have. It is true that HIV/AIDS was new to his generation ..its impact is always final-Promiscuity leads to a shortened life.

If promiscuity leads to a shortened life, Frank Sinatra would have died at 42, not 82. Having said that... the similar framework of celebrity exists today; only the way celebs handle these rumors- which are often true- has changed. Thank you for posting what you did. Regardless of how the man passed, no one should be attacked for the way they choose to live their lives. The BBC columnist who wrote what he did back in the day wanted attention in my opinion, as did the coroner in CA who insisted the mans remains be returned so HE could conduct an autopsy just to get HIS five minutes of fame by saying LEE passed from AIDS, which in actuality he was HIV positive which is not the same. LIBERACE brought much joy to many RIP

dinoNparis, I too see that coroners conduct as an opportunity to get public attention. I did a google search and learned that Lee was a heavy smoker in his private life. He had heart problems and breathing problems. One article said he died of cytomegalovirus pneumonia resulting from AIDS. We'll never what really killed Lee, all we have is what was released by that coroner. I prefer to focus on Lee's personality, talent and the joy he brought to many while he was here.
