I've watched all the videos from this set, and I'd say I like this alto player a lot more than the tenor player. The tenor is too diatonic in his playing, the altoist knows how to stretch and put some harmonically "out" in the weave of his solo.

True - but I still enjoy the tenor player's solos too. Alto player - more like Kenny Garrett or Peter Epstein

I like the interplay between the hand dampened piano and the hand drumming at the start of the second piano solo. Ms.Figarova has some great chops - wish we could hear the whole tune from start to finish as the rhythm section seemed to be really cookin' there! Is Mr.Primack playing an alto flute on this tune? Kinda sounds and look like it. Thanks again for posting this
