@ChateauOfADoubt actually the other day I drew a picture that was only 63% awful, in place of my normal 95%. I drew it on the back of my assignment and handed it in to confuse the teacher.

@ChateauOfADoubt I've read most of Scott Pilgrim by now. I read a ton of webcomics. And I have 2 Sonic the Hedgehog comics I got from the Sparkle grocery store in the town we go camping near.

I think it's my inability to draw hands holding me back. Stupid hands. And feet aren't much better.

@thepappytube you don't even KNOW my relief!! My drawing ability comes from years of practice and art school. This 5 day intensive didn't focus much on improving drawing ability, but I'm sure there's some other thing somewhere that does. ALSO just keep practicing, and I'd be willing to give you pointers over skype.

I have a friend that is a comic artist by trade. He does the book Atomic Robo as well as the occasional Marvel project.

How can you even use a laptop that old? Is any current software compatible?

I've been meaning to get myself to CCS for a couple of years now, but I don't even have a BA in anything. (At 22, I barely have an associates.) And if I plan on getting a masters, why not wait to go to CCS when I can get my MFA there?

This video makes me want to go to CCS even more.

Yes you have been in school so long and its time it paid off... I don't read much comics. I guess illustrations sometimes gets in the way of the story I'm trying to read. But then again it does give some what of a visual. Now if you came out with one,well I would be sure to read it.

@Myfkduplilworld Ah, but the illustrations in comics aren't supposed to get in the way. They're supposed to support the story. Comics, like movies, are a visual medium. A panel on a comic page works in much the same way that a frame - or, more accurately, a shot - in a movie does. It's a lovely marriage of words and pictures, I think.

When I read, I like to imagine the story in my own mind sometimes and have my own point of view of the story rather than an illustrator doing it for me. Another hint why I don't read much comics,but it doesn't mean I completely dislike them.
