Yea, of course Rue sacrificed herself to the Raven to save Mytho. Yet compared to Duck, she actually tried getting his heart/feelings back. If Rue loved him enough, she would of let him get his heart back and stop being a stubborn princess from the start.

Yes, Duck tried the best she could to get Mytho his heart back, but if you think about it, Rue was really the white swan the whole time. If Mytho had fallen for Duck, Rue would have died of a broken heart just like the white swan in Swan Lake (SPOILER::: I think that's what the creators were trying to hint at when Rue confesses her love, sacrifices herself to the Raven, and dances the Dance of the Dying Swan before Mytho rescues her =D ) All in all, GREAT anime! Will always be a fav!

I really hate the end on this anime. I always thought that Ahiru would be with Mytho. I'm happy that Rue became nice again, but at least could Ahiru be human not a duck!!!! :(

@YokiJane Even thought Tutu almost died trying to get his heart back, Rue was willing to throw herself into complete darkness unitl the innoncent love that she had in the beginning was being maniputalted, stompped on, eaten, spit out, then thrown into a meat grinder. And even though allllll that she still had a little corner of love, enough of true love to break free. Thinking about it like that, I say Rue was a good choice. (not that Ahiru wasnt) XD

However, the prince fell into a cowardly trap set by the black swan and betrayed the black swan whom he loved. The prince swore his love to the black swan. Now think over the course of the whole series and place Rue as the white swan.

(spoilers) actually my sister and i were hoping for it to happen just as it did.. no offense to mytho though it wasnt his fault he couldnt love or have feelings:/ so according to your 2 thumbs up.. nope youre not the only one.. but maybe its cause me and my sister play alot of RPGs and the endings go similar to how it would have been if it ended that way and we wanted a change or something.. we just liked how it turned out anyway.. except for maybe her changing back to a duck but that made sense

This anime was so awesome and amazing... I'm still not very satisfied with the ending(mostly because Fakeer and Duck never get together for realz) but I kinda realized something... It's not a true ending for Duck and Fakeer(love-wise). Fakeer is still writing stories... and those stories he writes will become true. Im sure somehow he can make it to where Duck turns back into her human form, so she can be with him?..

Princess Tutu seemed at first that it would be a rather lame anime, but I was truly amazed by how good it was, the philosophical aspects of it. And Fakia is so hot that if I were gay he'd be the first one I'd go to.
