Actually the ending scene was taken from Episode 48 "Takeoff Into Confusion".

Oh and although Heero and Relena don't kiss in the series, the do kiss in the manga adaptation of "Blind Target" (set after the series and before Endless Waltz). Also in the manga "Ground Zero", by Reku Fuyunagi, there is a chapter called "In Rose" where there is a really sweet scene between Heero and Relena. (Heero even carries her :) )
