@HighOrders I made sure of that. I code in Java also, and I've had that drilled into my head. The document.write works just fine. It's just the document.getElementById doesn't. Even though I would like it, I don't need it. PHP is working just fine, thought it would be nice to have JavaScript...

@HighOrders OK, I don't know what I did wrong in the first place, but I erased all of my code and redid it, and now it suddenly works. I SWEAR I placed all of the semicolons, but who knows. I don't care! It works now!

admittedly this tutorial was a bit harder to follow, i understand that while HTML and CSS are slightly limited Javascript can be much more extensive and you can't show us eveything, but being that i already know html and css, also slightly entitled, im saying you should make more javascript tutorials. also i kinda agree with angry nred troll in that it feels that your leaning away from teaching and putting more effort into making it a spectacle.

Its funny- but say you sign up at a community college, pay some money & take a 101 beginners class in programming.

Guess what. The instructor turns on a 60 min video!

Classes will come later. You don't have to wait to learn though! You can watch & learn the same for free using the web - right now. Give it 5 or 6 hrs a week on a regular basis & In 6 months you'll be amazed at what you know.
