every name is a bad name :/ seriously all the names people are saying that are better than 'bushmen' someone else pops up and says NO! thats offensive too!

Botswana has remained peaceful to this day thanks to Basarwa in general. Basarwa ke bne batho ba itseng go thokomela kgomo go heta mongwe le mongwe . Batswana ba ta a lwa gompieno ka ntata ya mathosa le ma mbukushu . they cant learn from Basarwa. mo mongwe ebile ka na ke ene coach.

Then Batswana slowly changed it to Basarwa. their colour n characteristics are visible even today

mosarwa is also derogatory.the origions of the word mosarwa comes from the fact that they were said to be those people who did not rear livestock so ka setswana gone gotwe ke 'ba ba sa ruweng' (leruo)! which then became Basarwa!

None of the Basarwa or bushmen I met called themselves Khoisan--that's a word made up by anthropologists. My friends called themselves bushmen, and took pride in being from the bush.

In Botswana we use the word Basarwa (plural) Mosarwa (singular) or just Khoisan...the word 'bushmen is considered disrespectful!
