  • That's a 7M GTE? I'm assuming you replaced the head gasket to 75 lbp +

  • beautiful car lol, cracks me up hes speeding fast by cars.

  • 7mgtes sound so evil i love mine

  • I subscribed

  • I've got to admit as much as I love my 1jz this just sounds better. Mean as hell!

  • What WHEEL SIZE & TIRE SIZE? & OFFSET??? & how much lowered?

  • I call bullshit on the 550 horsies. Maybe 400.

  • @xxCaptainFishstix o like u can tell a 150 hp diffeerence by sound SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool car!

  • I think 550hp is being a bit generous, when my R31 had 350-400hp at the engine it'd roast all of 2nd and 3rd. I do realise your rear tyres look fairly wide, but yours sounds nicer ;)

  • @crayman31 u can obviously hear he needs a new clutch

  • @mk3supraturbo The clutch sounds fine. 550rwhp would at least light up 3rd gear

  • @crayman31 listen to t again when he shifts int 2nd u can hear hesitation. my supra only has 300 at the crank and my car lights them up in 1st and 2nd and sounds half as beasty as this

  • @crayman31 Well, for starters i think you will find your R31 had a solid / live rear axle - more prone to bagging up and losing traction. This has IRS diff, puts power to the ground more efficiently. Hence why these were Aus $59 000 new in 1989, R31 was like 2/3 that price. Simple Simon... Make the value for money call if you want on that fact, but i'd pay more for the Supra knowing how much engineering went into it in comparence back then.

  • @beanos351 I've got a HR31 GTS-X coupe (we lazy Aussies call them R31's) which has IRS and 245's on the back, they were very much on a similar wavelength with the Supra of that era (seat bolster and lumbar support electronically adjustable, fuck everything is electronic, mirrors, suspension hardness, same as the supra, etc.). I'd just like to see a dyno sheet or timeslip to satisfy my interest..

  • @crayman31 Flat boxxy nose or pointy and angled - 2 varients i have learnt also

  • You suck at drving your 550 hp and climbing supra that thing should been 100 percent more sideways at the end

  • Love the car.. Color combos are great :)

  • gay song. not bad poopra tho

  • i Believe this is a NA-T

  • I wanna see that dyno run where that car is pulling 550hp...

  • never slate the prod!

  • how much does a supra in that model year can run for?

  • 2j is way better

  • that would be neat, but the 2j models run a bit more. it would take a while to save for one.

  • mmm not really, you could make a 7m more powerful than a 2jz, but it would just cost alot more cause u need forged internals which comes stock on the 2jz :(

  • wait wait wait..................7m doesnt have forged internals?

  • no BUT ...it comes with a blown headgasket !!! *tatammm*

  • Forged crank and rods stock. Hyper eutectic pistons.

  • pardon my ignorance but what does eutectic mean?

  • In the case, it basically just means they're an alloy, not forged steel. I believe aluminum and silicon, not 100% sure.

  • so how much boost can they hande?

  • Wrong question. The current stock 7M shortblock record is 753rwhp IIRC. A safe bet would be high 400 low 500. But, like any motor, they can blow up at stock levels. It's all in the tune.

  • i.c sp what should b my biggest concern, im about to finish the rebuild on my 7m. greddy mhg and arp studs, machined block 7m crank chromaly rings and bearings, after i brake the motor in about 1000 miles?? sound right? i wanna raise the boost to say.....8 or 9 downpipe and 3in custom exhaust wat u think?

  • As long as your work is trustworthy you'll be more than fine with that.

  • thn i honsetly feel fine, umm but i am paranoid about not letting my motor break in, how long should i wait till i can kill some muscle

  • Lot of different schools of thought on that, it breaks down to a personal decision. I've seen people take it out and beat the snot out of them right out of the gates and people that have babied them for 3k and both motors came out fine.

  • wow ok thts interesting i thot they blew if u didnt break em in, oh well ill still play it safe tho baby it for maybe 1k

  • i need help fast! i have arp headstuds but not the nuts or washers tht go with thm cuz i bot em off a freind, wen i bot the right sized nut to fit thm the nut didnt fit on the head at all. what do i do? do the nuts tht come with the studs fit and tighten on a 7m head? if so where can i buy thm?

  • I'd think an ARP retailer would sell them, or you could try taking one into a hardware store and finding a matching thread/pitch grade 8 nut.

Are you installing them correctly? Clean the block threads out with a tap, lube and hand tighten the studs into the block, put the head gasket on, put the head on, put the washer on the stud, put the nut on top of the washer on the stud.

  • well heres the thing the nut we bot at the hardware store fits the stud but its too big for the space in the head, it wont drop in let alone have room to tigten. we did tht except ur only suppose to hand tighten onto block??? we put them on pretty tight b4 trying to drop the head on top

  • Pull the head back off, break them loose, tighten them back properly. I'd give Aaron at Driftmotion a call and get the real right nuts, washers and the ARP moly lube. Not worth the risk to me.

  • so he can sell the right nuts and washers? umm we did take everything off, wat do u mean by tighten back properly?

  • Yeah, he should be able to take care of you.

    Finger tighten the studs in.

  • thanx for all ur help

  • No problem. One less Supra rotting away somewhere is good for all of us. lol

  • lol yeah with a fresh engine eventually runnin higher boost i can repesent with spunk ha

  • only if u want 700+ daily. too much power for a daily fun car

  • No such thing...

  • 7m is more reliable and great engines

  • in good condition 3 grand.

  • tahts actually not bad, i found one for $2500, good condition low miles, 5 speed and its a non turbo which sucks without it.

  • about 2500-6g

  • 1k to 8k depending on the shape and whats been done and fuck the 2j, unless your a baller good luck affording upgrades for it. the 7m is fine for what most people want unlease you want a 1000hp+ car just build a 7m or 1j

  • wats so bad about the 2j

  • :)I think i will buy him a satnav for his birthday

    he seems very lost

    just going around in circles

    :()pooorrrr wubble bunny wunny

  • :)So dam dependable:)lol

there notorious for eating headgaskets, and engines, and you call that dependable

    ooohhhhh palllleeeezzzzzzzzzzzz:)lol

    get real for cripes sake

  • if you tighten the headgasket to 70-75 ft-pounds they will last forever. And any car can have an engine destroyed by a carless owner.

  • Comment removed

  • obviously benny rats doesnt know shit about cars and if he has one its a piece of shit with no balls like him over here talking about a ferrari and shit you fail at life a ferrari is for those rich bastards that there mommie and daddy by them there fancy sportscar. This guys car will own that shit and he put blood sweat and tears into it to make it that fast

    Morons these days.....

Props for you man badass car sickass power

  • :()bitch

  • Really nice what you did with the front bumper

  • pretty sweet man. just lose that huge exaust that makes it look like your a hella poser. not callin you one but just lettin ya know.

  • :)Face facts, its not a proper sports car, drives and sounds like a tractor, its so noisy inside, you can barely hear the stereo for cripes sake:()

Get a life dudes, and while your at it, get a proper sports car, not some jap pretend to be

    :()grow up please

  • are you serious ill take 550hp of pure boosted goodness over any stereo. plus you can always make your stereo louder. the MKiii supra is a sports car on a budget not everyone can go out a buy a ferrari but you can keep up with one in a supra with a little money put into it.<-- FACT!

  • Extra sweet ride man, I love it!

@benny2rats: please, don't even utter a word if you are not part of the enthusiast community... This car is a rare beauty, and should definitely not be scrapped. And if you take that amount of time modding your car, you WILL spend AGES driving around aimlessly because it's so enjoyable.

  • wow that was like poetry

And yes working on car that you modded and customized becomes your pride and joy like your picasso and thats your painting

  • Oh for cripes:) sake

why don't ye guys get a life, instead of driving around aimlessly going nowhere, in old japanese bangers, that should have been scraped years ago

    unbelievable:(

  • ill kill you, bitch

  • I will help you kill him ....heheh.... and his rats

  • there not scraped for a reason, they manage to last this long, since when do you see any american cars from the mid 80's on the streets? uh almost NONE...sure they arnt as exotic a a vette but their so god damn dependable when you need them. and with a little upgrades you can make one as quick as a vette...so far i havent seen a vette with its original motor last over 250k miles...without a rebuild as most old jap cars...ur rite they are taking up space, but theres a reason for that...

  • Dunno where you live but I see probably six GM cars from the 80s rolling down the streets just going to the gas station. Every time I get in my car.

Also, the nice thing about imports is that their sketchy japanese regulations make it easier for americans to get low mileage engines that can't be used in Japan for a relatively cheap price. So the cars are kept longer. Its harder to find say a 3.8 turbo buick engine nowadays than a supra engine..

  • actually, there's a ton of 80's american cars on the street. take a look around.

  • and besides that, a lot of people use them for CAR SHOWS because, they're old and nice.

  • @jsaulgodoy Just wondering ... How much money went into this car ? Also you dont see too many 80's american sports cars on the road ??? ummm Where the fuk do you live ???? California here and there is plenty of 80's american muscle running around here ... Mustangs, Z28's , Vette's , etc ... try opening your eyes once in a while ... they are out there just have to look ....

  • @Bucky96570 lol the supra isn't a American sports car...

  • @paradox616 read my post dewd ... I was replying to what some1else had said ... but I guess theres was deleted or something .... ohwells... I know supra is not american it is Jap , no biggie tho... read the entire post next time I also mentioned american sprts cars in it ... but hey its ok ...

  • @jsaulgodoy tbh my 74 chevy truck has rolled over atleast 4 times. 99k miles is the max for spedo. its almost 100% original except for the plugs. and of course since i live in montana, its rusted to shittttttttttt.

  • @letsmbpk9 wow thats crazy...well the late 70's american cars were quality once the 80s came in their quality went down...

  • @jsaulgodoy no 80s american cars on the streets? you must live in japan theres 3rd gen camaros firebirds mustang 5.0 regals cutlass thats just off the top of my head

  • L2SHIFT

  • very nice

  • i saw 61 trim. what brand turbo are you running? sounds great... mkiii's are so much fun!

  • It could be more than 550hp. Consider the fact that the car weighs almost 4000lbs with a full tank and a driver

  • Sounds really nice, but can it really be 550hp?

  • dont really look like its moving.. for 550hp.

  • Nice vid looks real tough

  • thats a sweet MKIII mann... great stuff...my buddy has an 87' MKIII and its sweet... its a mix of bomex and do-luck body kit parts on it and it looks amazing... he's painting it soon but he's keepin me in the datk about what its gonna be... i wish he would get those rims u have too lol... btw great song! :)

  • Nice job man I am looking to hit around the 500hp mark as well. I got an 89 Turbo targa 5spd. Now I really now what the Mk3 could be like and that it could sound like an Mk4. People now a days just don't know what to do with there Mk3's. Keep it up!

  • what kinda exhaust ?

  • Tanabe racing medallion, I would guess. At least that's what it says at the end.

  • Love the sound.What exhaust?

  • sounds like a boostlogic set up...

  • how much was you 7m?

  • What song is this?

  • It´s Prodigy man... I dont now the name of the song=/ Early song, the first album i think.

  • prodigy - one love

  • i like but 550 hp??????????

  • 42 seconds in - got smoke? What's the cause of that????

  • its debris from the street not smoke

  • I have an MKIII...they're fun, but a bitch to run!

  • Nice SUPRA man !!!!

    i have a MK3 as well..

i was wondering how much have you spend on your's to be at this level?

  • Very sweet man. I just bought a '90 MK3 Turbo Fixed roof same color. I didn't know the Tanabe Racing Medallion sounded so good! Can't wait to get mine on the road :-D
