  • Scott curls are basically preacher curls. The reason the exercise is referred to as "Scott" curls is because Larry Scott, the winner of the first two Mr. Olympia titles, made them a staple of his workout. However, Larry Scott recommends doing them on a curved bench rather than the type of one shown in the video. Using a curved bench allows for more of a stretch in the biceps, and they are harder to perform. A great mass builder.

  • Good, precise explanation, especially the bit about position of the shoulder/armpit.

  • nice, but its this called preacher curl? what is the difference?

  • @eiriksau It essentially is a preacher curl, but when done one arm at a time with a DB, it's, by convention, called a Scott Curl. I have no idea why!

  • looks like those scott curls have done wonders for u. ur arms r huge lol lol

  • @fenceman315 I know, right??

  • @fenceman315

you obviously know ALOT about bb'ing, and you should definitely keep commenting on workout videos

  • @danelfer92 I don't know a lot about bodybuilding, the sport, but I've got a pretty good handle on lifting technique. There are others that know far more about putting a good mass building workout together + nutrition, posing, etc. than I.

  • what's the difference between scott curls and preacher curls?

  • @vladimirhorowitz Barbell versus dumbbell, essentially. I like these because you don't need a preacher bench to do them.

  • so its basically a preacher curl?

  • @Lix187 Yup, with a DB instead of a barbell

  • good info, thanks.

  • Very informative, thnx
