  • Thats a badass mother fucker.

  • I thought my screen was screwed up. Just figured out these were swords.

  • that right the gathering............been waiting for it.

  • i think u should make the entire movie with this "dot" applied to it and send it to me...

and it return for ur favor...i will watch it

  • dont like the dots on it

  • Highlander, a film about an immortal Indo-European sociopath with a sword...oh, and something about a Scotsman to.

  • @lowenklee he's Russian, born on the edge of the Caspian Sea. just to be precise.

  • @nwojunkie

He's older than Russia or Slavdom for that matter, if his name is any indication.

That would make him an early Bronze Age (possibly even late Stone Age) indo-European Sociopath from the the Don/Volga River region of what would, thousands of years later, become Russia...or some Seljuk just decided it was a cool nom de plume LOL...to be precise:p

  • @lowenklee lol, i'm just telling what the Highlander wikia page said.

  • what's up with the video?

  • I dont understand how everyone has metal swords but i never see any medieval mines

  • What's funny is Kurgan (or I suppose the guy who played him) is actually really good looking hahaa! Underneath all that dyed black hair and later the baldness and safety pin necklace :)

  • @recklesscharlie : That dude was a serious badass in Carnivale. Starship Troopers, too.

  • @althesmith and shawshank redemption

  • That sword is fucking orgasm-inducingly awesome.

  • @neosoc You mean apart from the "click-together-blade" (= prefab breaking spot)?

  • @koookeee : I've made swords for 20 years. You wouldn't believe how many requests I've had for a "take-down sword like in Highlander." Explanations, even repeated, that a blade like that would fall apart in about 10 seconds or the first strike, whichever came first, seem to fall on deaf ears. Guys, there's a reason why a sword's blade and tang are one solid piece of metal- it's the only thing that works.

  • @althesmith Hm. But you made those swords anyway, for a hefty price? ;–)

  • i want that sword

  • @FunkKlock Google swordsofmight highlander kurgan sword you n00b. Places have been selling this sword since even I was a kid.

  • I think if you can muster the necessary suspension of disbelief to accept that a dwindling group of immortal humans who can only be killed by decapitation-- an occurrence which is heralded by a huge electrical storm conveying the slain man's other-worldly life force to his assailant-- are vying for some immeasurable cosmic power to be conferred upon the last one remaining...the "modular sword" thing should be no trouble at all.

  • the music is taken from the terminator scene :) when arnold is on his room and fixing his weapon. Only in this version it has some added tunes in it.

  • there can be only one!

  • What a bad ass, who ever in real life did those sword tricks is talented, need to be strong and fast........just like me!

  • This sword is ridiculous. Its fit only for butchering cattle.

  • @cpufightclub It didn't look "ridiculous" when it skewered Connor in 1536, or cut off Ramirez's head in 1541!

  • @Highlander01 Yeah, you're right. It is a lot easier to chop of the head of the intended target he standing still, motionless. What heroism.

  • @cpufightclub You're comment doesn't make any sense. Kurgan killed both Ramirez and Kastigar fair and square. It was immortal against immortal, steel vs steel. Neither were handicapped in any way shape or form. If your talking about Connor in the 1500's, well I'd say Kurgan was being tactical. Kill Connor before he becomes too strong, and he wasn't motionless. He was armed at the time. Kurgan wasn't a hero, so I don't know why you mentioned heroism. he was a cold-blooded killer.

  • @Highlander01 Of course you wouldn't understand why. You were perhaps too busy arguing rather than trying to understand what I was saying. "He doesn't make sense. he must be wrong. But I make sense and I am going to tell him why. Than he will understand why I am right and he is wrong."

  • @cpufightclub Hold on, I didn't reply to prove I was right and you were wrong. I didn't say that. I simply don't understand your comment about Kurgan's sword. It's that simple. No need to get all boisterous about it.

  • Just Gimme The PRIZE !!!!!

  • Macleod not mcclaud lol

  • That sword is awesome.Especially the blade in parts.I wonder how did they come up with that one.

  • @tanathos0414 Yeah, this is an awesome sword. I once read that this sword with the interlock-blade was used only for the suitcase-scene in the movie and it was made especially for this single scene only. The sword he used in the fighting scenes was a different one, and the blade of that sword was made of one piece.

btw: A sword like this, with an interlock blade would be nonsense and is not to realize in real. It would break or it get cracks at the stress point where it is assembled.

  • @ganimed1976 --- thanks. I always used to wonder if a blade made up of interlocking pieces would be all that effective in a battle against a solid blade.

  • I wonder if swords like Kurgan's actually exist or not and i don't mean some kind of display sword, i mean an actual battle-worthy weapon..

  • @CalyxAsgard I don't think a "modular" sword like Kurgan's would have really existed. It's just not practical. It's awesome, as far as fantasy movies go, but as a real weapon, its piss poor as the interlocking blade wouldn't be robust enough to fight with. The only other interlocking blade I've ever seen is the bad guys from "Brotherhood of the Wolf" & Ivy's Whip-sword from Soul Calibur, but once again they are fantasy.

  • Its the same music they use in Terminator 1 when Arnold checks his weapons under the bed + his wounded eye.

  • Kurgen was obviously not some bum. That would have to be a custom made sword. He only dresses like that to blend in. I doubt he would fit in if he was wearing a suit with a trench coat. Its just him and the sword. Training and killing is obviously the only thing he does.

  • Love him! He is amazing! Most bad ass villain ever!

  • You can just tell this guy's been spending an eternity with this sword

  • Thank you very much for Clancy Brown !

  • the music in this scene is great!

  • @Bedman88 - Yep, the music is great.......and I have a 73-Track, 3CD Highlander original music film score containing ALL the music from the film (i.e Queen and Michael Kamen). This track is on my soundtrack. Cool eh?! :-)

  • If I was an immortal, I would have two weapons;

a modified 10 gauge shotgon that held 12 shells, and a gurkha sword.

screw honor; I'd need to survive.

  • Kurgan has too much time on his hands with his sword. No pun intended.

  • that sword realy exist???

  • yes u can buy it from higlanders official website.

With his name writn on it or withOut ^^

  • :O thanks ^^

  • Mr. Krabs --- I like Kraby patties!!

  • this is why he lose and mcclaud cut his head off

  • @rottip43k Actually, Kurgan already defeated Highlander in the beginning of the movie when he stabs him. However, it's a movie and MacLeod was the main character, so they needed to think up a way to save him.

  • @Thorzanek Kurgan defeated connor twice when u think about it. That silly ho brenda saved his ass in the final battle. Kurgan would have won the prize if she didnt hit him on the back. That gave connor time to regroup

  • you dont get more badass than kurgan

  • yer u do

    CHUCK NORRIS

    BOOM!

    (U just got roundhouse kicked)

  • chuck norris is Kurgans bitch

  • This dude fucking kicks ass!!! HIGHLANDER!!!

  • Looking at your channel, I wonder that as well!

  • I've always wondered what goes through the minds of evil people.

come to think of it, I don't think I wanna know.

New York needs to be nuked.

  • Any military historian from West Point, or any military academy around the world will tell you, fighting one of these guys without a modern weapon would be a VERY bad idea.

  • unless he was imortal than fighting him with any weaopns that don't remove the head from the body is a worse idea. Swords axes or even a shotgun blast would do the trick.

  • You do know that a magnum 500 blows away entire chunks of the body right? Not small pieces of exit wound flesh, CHUNKS. Even an immortal's ability to heal would not be able to keep up with enough shots from that thing, you'd incapacitate one with only 3. I'm sorry but with my head at stake, screw honor. Okay I'll admit; considering the cops asking questions perhaps a sword IS cleaner. I hear ballistics labs are pretty "badass" these days.

  • hmm maybe barrett sniper rifle could be good to cut heads off, is there anyone who was using this weapon?iraq soldiers maybe US army?

  • Personally, if I was an immortal, I'd use a sawed off shotgun and a machete.

You just need to remove the head right? Either a sawed off shotgun, of a Magnum 500. Really wish immortal character would be more practical. Hey man, that's your ass! And some of those guys are a millenia old.

  • Kurgan was a straight up badass and the bone armor he had in the 1400s was fucking awsome.

  • That guy sure knows how to handle a sword.

  • I don't mean to be a douche but, he kind of had to know, that's what he was getting paid for. First of all, second; there is nothing "glorious" or "poetic" about it. I own a Suburito (wooden practice sword) that weighs about as much as that prop sword, and its not too difficult to handle. Believe it not, your body adapts FAST to the use of a sword.

  • It's a little known fact that a Budokan is an actual weapon. It wasn't a practice sword. Just because it was made of wood didn't make it any less lethal.

I have a giant langschwert like the Kurgan, and with practice you develope all the muscles you need to swing it easy.

    Key word here: practice.

I had a hand up though, before i got the sword, i practiced with a sledge hammer, so i already had most of the muscles i needed to practice with it.

  • You mean to tell me the suburito that I own is actually a weapon?

  • Yes. Look up the legend of Musashi, he only ever used a wooden sword.

If you want to make yourself a very powerful bokken that won't break easily, you find yourself a sledge hammer handle, and break the weight off of it. Perfect size, weight, and shape. You could also just take the weight off, but that leaves a werid nub where your hands go.

My dad taught me how to fight with this kind of weapon, using it as a form of small quarterstaff. Very effective.

  • I meant to say Bokken, not budokan. One of those times where my head thinks one thing, my fingers type another.

  • you don't need to sell me anything; yesterday afternoon I hacked away with my suburito 1,000 times.

felt it all over my body. Had to sleep it off for 10 hours this morning I was so exhausted.

  • If Im The The KurGan I Will Tear Those guys Heads OFF

  • "hi, I'm a rocker punk and I like to fiddle with my sword!"

  • Thats one mean motherfucker
