I dont belong to the fifties and I was not even born then, I belong to the Amitabh age. The seventies and eighties ,nineties and now the new millennium songsbut what will last forever are these songs fro fifties and sixties. Many songs were released in my times that is eighties ,( and when they were first released the public used to sneer at the old classics like these ) but no one remembers them now.Kahin aaye kahin gaye , par aise gaane amar rahe. how old are you and wats wrong with himesh. i understand wat ur saying but we all have the right to listen and like wat we want.95% of my collection is black and white but i dont think listening to himesh is wrong. its not about wat ppl choose to listen it's about wat is alowed to be broadcoasted the bottom line is there shouldnt be boundries of how a person choses to take pleasure in music or film. unless we r scared of the direction it might take us to....WHICH MOST OF US R NOT. ;)

hi, its not about right but its about the quality of music! which is definitely not so good these days as people have lost touch with this music and i feel sorry for young generation who appreciate crappy music and remixes....and my age...i am 29 and i grew up on great collection my dad had of rafi, kishore and lata and hemant da! i am glad i was exposed to good cinema and good music. why dont they make DO BEEGHA ZAMEEN today?

There was a guest on Jon Stewart going on about how much vulgar today is compared to 50s. After listening to everything Jon asked something to the effect of 'what is more vulgar? bad language or jim crow?' We have to be careful romanticizing the past. I love these songs but also remember that 60s was tough with wars and famines.
