How to change boot animation on Motorola triumph

so if you want to use a custom boot animation (like a bootanimation.zip you downloaded elsewhere) this app won't do it.

@BlueKewne if you want to add your own boot animation download "boot animation utility" from the market then download your animation from the web

@chris1androidtech or I can just put the "bootanimation.zip" in the /system/media directory and it works.

Aside from a file browser that allows root browsing, you don't have to download a damn thing to change it lol.

It was saying error for viewing the pictures for the shutdown part of root explorer. I found a way to keep my phone turned off now. It's weird, but if I silent my phone, and power it down it stays. Thank you for responding quickly. I appreciate your help. :)

I now have a new boot animation on my motorola triumph, but my phone reboots when I click "power off" then "ok" instead of turning off like it used to before I installed the animation. Also, my phone doesn't have anything when powering off. It doesn't show the pictures in the "shutdown" part of root explorer either. It says something like, "error... can't be found." Any ideas? Thanks in advance. :-)

@916nene rooting is like for example jailbreaking a ipod touch, rooting your phone allows you to get to download apps that require root and you can change your phone however you want it to be like, also you can u can overclock or under clock your phone that means if u have a 1ghz u can underclock it to 600 800 MHz to save more battery life,and you can also download costume roms what that is you can change your phones interface to mant others. hope that help

@916nene to root your device first go to 4shared.com then search for a file named Gingerbreak v1.2.apk once you have that app installed enter the app and you will see an option that says root device before you click root device make sure u have a sd card on the phone and usb debugging mode on, once your device is rooted you will see a app in you app drawer named super user that app allows you to use apps that require root

@916nene if you want to save battery 1st go to the market and download cpu master once you have the app enter the app and click where it says ondemand and change it to powersave and that will be it

@TJC450 right now i dont have a animation to power it off i went on root explorer and deleted the virgin mobile one so when i power it off all it does a box in the middle of the screen pops out that says powering off
