It's a etching agent that helps the brackets bond to the actual tooth rather than the to the plaque on the teeth.

i had the damon system put on my teeth last week, but the orthodontic placed the brackets manually , i didnt have the same procedure as they patient in the film did, where the lab has perfectly placed the brackets via a gum shield (or what ever it was) when it was removed the brackets were perfectly placed , can someone advised if my orthodontic did the right thing or did he do a short cut procedure? thanks?

1.take an impression

2.put brackets unto the cast

3.vacuum with .020 thermoplastic (soft)

4.trim

5.vacuum with .020 thermoplastic (hard)

6.trim
