  • Unbelievable. His Holiness the Pope, John XXIII, would sneak out of his palace and walk the streets. Perhaps he was out to save a few people, perhaps he was out praying, or maybe perhaps he was doing something none knows of. Whatever it was, the title of "The Good Pope" is adequate.

  • muito bom muvho bom

  • scusate, ma.... questo film esiste da qualche parte in lingua originale? Il doppiaggio non ci sta proprio, è distraente, nessuno parla così.

  • at 4:39 i just cried it reminds me of Gods great great love for all especially us sinners.

I love you, Lord Jesus, my savior....

  • Pope John XXlll wanted to bring the church into the 20th Century, but in doing so we forfeited something that made us truly unique. You felt more spiritualism

when you went to mass and it was said in Latin.

In some respects Catholicism has lost its individuality. Now going to a catholic mass is like attending any other christian service.

There are times when smelling the incense, and hearing the latin as an alter boy really made you feel something on the inside.

    I miss that.

  • @BoomerNavy70 My friend I was an altar server when the Mass was in Latin... and I loved this... but I also came to love the present Mass.. we must not forget that we are in loving relationship with our Lord who helps us to live life to the full if we want him to... to be upset by a change in the language of the Mass is to miss the point and the big picture,. Bless you..

  • @LTPaiulellA The Mass is so much more beautiful when it is in the language of the people that are celebrating it. Then and only then is the church truly catholic, that is universal.

  • @auntbecky I agree. see my remark to BoomerNavy70 down 7 places(1 year ago).

The eucharest is so much more than the language used. I believe it should be in the language of the people of a particular country. Easier to understand, connect and engage in worship. ( I loved the Latin when an altar server as a boy). I feel that people who want the Mass latinized are missing the point. Not only should we internalize our spiritual lives but externalize as Jesus did!

  • @BoomerNavy70 The fight is not lost, brother. The extraordinary HOLY MASS is back again!! I have hought my children to defend this beautiful mass and never ever quit fighting for it, no matter what it takes... They could not DESTROY THE MASS , because the Mass is eternal...Pax et bonum.

  • To this very day I still say "long live ST. john XXIII, and St. Pius IX!"

they both truly were As i would say "fathers of the counsel"

  • he is the best!!!!!god bless him

  • prega per me Papa buono, ultimamente ne ho bisogno.

  • sucj a great vid of a great pope. i hope i live to see his canonization! his humor, and heavenly charm made me so interested in him.

P.S. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THE CARDINALS WERE SO SHOCKED ON THE ANNOUNCMENT OF THE vatican II!

  • The Cardinals at the time were caught completely unaware. Vatican II was unique in that it was called not to address a break from the church but to address how the church could present a "third way" between Communism and Capitalism. Nobody else had thought of it until John XXIII. Because of this, the Curia had done no work to "direct" the discussions. Vatican II was about how to deliver the message rather than the message.

  • I love this pope! I even a stained glass picture of him on my computer desktop! I think th church SHOULD know by NOW that he is a saint! but you can't blame our holy father for, this becuase SATAN will do whatever it takes to stop his canonization!!!!!! LONG LIVE POPE ST. JOHNXXIII

  • @av3rRageGameName Amen, brother!

  • Bless you good pope, please pray for me

  • It's time for Roman Catholics to also realise what us Anglicans and Orthodox already know: that this man is a SAINT! God bless St.John XXIII!

  • Amen. What Cardinal Roncalli did when stationed in Bergamo following the earthquake and the message of Vatican II to reach out to ALL the world with an open hand and not a clenched fist shows that we should love each other and how we should love each other. That is why I am praying to him daily as I work to become a Deacon.

  • St. John XXIII's commemorative day in the Anglican Church is June 4 and I try as best as I can to always attend mass that day every year. I am assuming out of respect to him being a Catholic, often a more traditional (high) Anglican form of eucharist is used and prayers taken from the Catholic missel are used. I hope he blesses your life as much as mine.

  • Thanks for the translation, i watched all ur videos :)

  • God bless his spirit in heaven!
