My dear concerned friend : Earth's supply of water and / or hydrogen is endless !
Besides, we will have cars that run on solar power, ( electricity ) and plug-in cars in no time at all. Many car makers are already investing in plug-in battery vehicles. The only thing we have to worry about for now is
VERY HIGH gasoline prices while we reach the other energy sources.
Hydrogen is found no where on this planet but in water, if humanity will use Hydrogen as water it will cause serious drought & starvation. If you thought an oil crisis was bad, try to imagine what a Hydrogen crisis would be like. You can live without Oil, but you can't live without Water.
So everyone who wants Hydrogen as petrol replacement is a serious hazard to all life on Earth.
Luckily, when hydrogen is expelled, it goes through a process called Condensation which creates water vapor (or clouds). After which, it rains and returns to the earth. Wow, what an elementary concept.
one of my classmates in government said that we'll never stop using oil until it runs out.
Does anybody have a comeback i can use on him.

Hydrogen would reduce water usage. Check the Department of Energy website about it
