Just be aware that whatever you think of this song in camparison to alanis's- is by definition, biased. I, for instance, heard this version first. So to me, this version sounds better.

Take for example Tiësto's Adagio for Strings. It can't be compared to the original piece by Samuël Barber, but because of Tiësto this piece was introduced to a new generation, while without it they might never have discovered it.

The original had this indescribable feeling to it, this special tension that gives you goosebumps and makes you listen to it again and again. This here is a rock solid pop song.
