An additional step that activist may want to employ is to boycott the police. If you are in a positition to resfuse service to a judge or police officer, politely decline to serve that person, and encourage your fellows to do the same.
Last, the cops may have covered their butts--which, again, I would not believe. That isn't what people think about when most of their mental effort goes to thinking about how pretty they look in a uniform. But again, if they did not, it is a federal crime to willfully deprive a person of right secured by the Constituion or laws of the U.S. under color of authority of law. So, *I* would see the USDOJ Civil Rights Division, Criminal Section was made aware.
While I'm back on youtube, I might as well finish trolling this page. I don't have the reports; however, unless they say X person told me Y person was told to leave, it should also be explored whether lack of actual probable cause would make any physical contact unprivileged--thus criminal. As official oppression is defined now, arrest without probable cause does no seem to fit .... but IMNAL. Otherwise, the police probably lied. But ... you know how it is.
Again, I want to say that I hope legal counsel is involved. There's a guy in a Smokey Bear hat, is he a deputy, or what? For the nothing it's worth, I see it this way. Notice of trespass was required for a an offense. If no one pointed out specific people on notice, the officers had no probable cause. If no notice, due process was violated. Of course, these people (police) are held the borderline retarded standards of average police. It's called qualified immunity.
de: newdarnaccount But, trust me, those people really do not give crap about how upset you are--in fact they enjoy seeing you pissed off. They will care about a trip to court. See if the ACLU, will look at it. That jail also has extensive grounds, and I don't believe they can legally close all of it to demonstrations. But that's my humble opinion.
You said some activists claim that they weren't asked to leave before being arrested. I have to ask, would it really have mattered? I mean, if they were asked to leave would they have left? Probably not! Anyway, I do respect you guys in being persistent!

Good points, Dave. I too think we should at least be protesting out where cars can see us. There is a fair amount of Keene traffic passing that jail regularly.
Yes, because all mature people follow every arbitrary diktat of each politician and bureaucrat. Rosa Parks, MLK, Susan Anthony, Gandhi, Sam Adams ... these people were so immature.
To be mature, one needs to be a spineless serf. Good to know.
@ninjabunnyman They didn't whine like children when they were being arrested or in their case beaten. They had more of a right to cry about it than these juvenile delinquents. LOL why didn't he just calmy say "Sir I am not resisting.." instead he cries like the pussy he is IM NOT IM NOT.. just like a spoiled brat in a toy store.
I don't know .. perhaps he had difficulty keeping his tone completely calm while he was being dragged along the ground. I'm sure if you had video of all civil rights activist arrests, you'd find one whose tone of voice did not perfectly meet your exacting standards.
Oh, and you're changing the subject. You said, "GROW UP and follow the laws of the land beeches". When I refuted your statement, which implied that maturity means blindly obeying immoral laws, you switched to the tone of voice of the activist
You sound angry. I suggest you do some thinking, rather than lashing out.
Why do you oppose liberty activism? Do you think the laws are all moral? Do you think immoral laws should be obeyed? Is there anything you believe the government doesn't have a right to do?
@ninjabunnyman I didn't change anything. The video says it all. He's trying to milk some drama out of the ridiculous situation. There is nothing to argue about here unless you want to act like a libtard confrontational loony?
I lost count of how many "freedom fighters" as I call them we have in this state now but we should put the word out and have every free stater in the state ( I hope 200 or more) Bring everyone to the Keene's new Hitter SS detention camp and let 200 plus people get arrested. We would fill the jail and when we go to court the judge would laugh and dismiss the case. As for what the cops did in this case. You can see if by the way they walk they did this to show them who was boss.
@fczwartek listen how calmly the authorities tell them to stop resisting. then listen to the freestater's response. he's trying to milk some drama out of the situation. :58
Resisting arrest is a "crime". He's making it clear that he is not resisting the arrest, but he will not be assisting them by walking under his own power. That's the reason for the statement.
Courts have ruled both ways on the question of whether going limp constitutes "resisting".
Did anyone maybe speak to a lawyer about the possibilty of bring a federal suit against Kene, the police, etc. for being arrested without in violation of the Fourth Amendment and the due process clause of the 14th Amendment? Further, a jail is not a traditonal forum. However, that's not holding areas--or such--it's grounds well away from the jail. So can they deny use in this manner. You know, the Civil Rights movement did file federal suits--and succeed.
@newdarnaccount Why in the hell, did that end up being posted three times? Did you know that there's a case where the USSC decided a demonstrator case pretty much against itself. There also a case where the Marshal of the USSC arrested a bunch of demonstrators on court property, and they all got kicked by lower courts. Lawsuits ... because even government lawyers don't work free.

It seems like they spend an enormous amount of time harassing your group. They don't like that you question them, so they do the only thing they know how to...arrest peaceful protesters rather than preventing actual crimes. Pathetic cops.
Just a matter of time until they do the wrong thing to the wrong person. First thing EVERY community needs to do is identify who/what/where/when on anything to do with law enforcement. Tyranny always fails in the end. The Americans will fight back.
That's why they are keeping our soldiers occupied away. And, all knowing 90 per cent of us want them home yesterday.
