They were however responsible for their actions leading up to and after Kelsey's death. If they had worked with Raye, instead of laying accusations towards maybe the real abuser (Mike Porter) would have been discovered.
Their actions after Kelsey's death led to Raye's conviction, their further collaboration with Mike Porter in order to get Raye in Jail added to this. I will never understand how someone could communicate and meet up with the murderer of their grandchild.

so the guy who killed her isnt in jail!! thats horrible. ya just last summer i lost somebody, her name was Kelsey smith. she was muder. i miss her so much.

The man who murdered Kelsey is in Jail, but he got off on a lesser charge as he was offered a plea bargain by Kelsey's paternal family so he would tell lies about Kelsey's mother. She was sentenced for 'should have known'. But the fact is she didn't.

omg that video was so said it made me cry when it said she died cause of him and now her mom has to be in jail but that was amazing how that one little girl survived all that stuff i will always remeber this story i truly hope the mom gets out and fell srry for her kelsey you are a big hero sry;( (r.i.p kelsey)...
