  • The best part of the video is that she understands the right reason to CC a firearm.

  • She didn't shoot the Sheriff....but she did shoot the Deputy

  • Home defense is not guns it is keep the bad people outside long enough for you to call the cops and for them to get there (50 minutes). That also mean when you are not there. So you don’t have to shoot them and have nightmares the rest of your life. Only after you set up you first, second, and third line of defense do you worry about a stupid gun. But do get a stupid gun so you can shoot the bad people if the cops don’t show un in the 50 minutes.

  • FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS!

  • Only law abiding citizens can get a concealed permit and to think that they will use that to break the law is stupid. Lefty liberals think just that. They also think that criminals will obey gun laws. How stupid can you get? How embarrassing!

  • one person wanted her to get hurt.

  • Of course the news guys try to make you feel sorry for the guy.

  • @ArtisanTony The NEWS guys made you feel sorry? If you don't feel sorry, then you can't be made to feel that way. If anything the woman with the gun outright admitted she felt sorry for him.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with having emotions as long as you can control them.

  • @VideoMenu No, I said he wants you to feel sorry for him. I did not say I feel sorry for him. Te point is the media is always defending criminals with their liberal agenda.

  • Lucky guy, some people would be happy at the opportunity to shoot a burglar

  • I hate guns, but I love it when the good guys win.

  • ....yeah took the pain pills because he needed medication....was the booze to make the pills work better? jackass reporters

    great story though

  • How awesome would it be if it turned out this woman was really the invader and just got herself a house?

  • Perfect use of her concealed carry permit. Wonderful. Everyone should have theirs.

  • eesh!!! lady NEVER FINGER ON THE TRIGGER....especially during a dramatization...but other than that....GREAT JOB !

  • This is one of the many examples why we need to preserve gun ownership rights for law-abiding citizens.

  • You don't need a concealed carry permit to carry a firearm IN YOUR OWN HOME, even before the law was passed. :-p

  • Good to see positive firearms stories instead of the usual liberal media BS. What we hear on the news is only a small sampling of incidents. It happened to me and it didn't even make the police reports in the local community newspaper. I can only imagine how many others go undocumented and do not count in the statistics. Unfortunately, the general public remains ignorant of how often firearms deter crimes and save lives.

  • I love the materials you post!

Off the topic: Do commentors ever listen what they say? this said at the very beginning: "...the stand off. Not with the police, but with the woman armed with the concealed carry permit"

I know this will mean different, if you put comma in appropriate place, but _what he said_ SOUNDED to me that she was armed with permit (not firearm ;)

  • @yuowatcher I thought the same thing when I heard that.

  • That's a revolver not a pistol....news people...jeez.

  • @boochieboy814 It is indeed a pistol.

All revolvers are pistols, but not all pistols are revolvers.

  • HOLY COW! KY3, that's Springfield MO where I live. I carry there too!!!!

  • She wasn't armed with a permit. She was armed with a revolver.

  • excellent vid

  • This woman is very lucky she did not get hurt, or worse killed. I feel that the training she recieved gave her false confidence which put her life in danger. She decided to go back into the house after knowing someone had been inside. She was by herself, and didn't know how many people were in her house. She had the tactical advantage to wait until multiple deputies arrived, but yet decided to risk it. This was very dumb in my book.

  • Ah another example of way I will carry no matter what any bureaucratic ass hole says.

  • All law abiding American citizens should own a gun.

  • If you shoot a thief, rapist or burglar in San Fransisco, YOU go to jail, not the criminal.

If the criminal sues for intentional injuries, YOU must pay the thief compensation for the amount judged against you.

Ultimately, we should move toward ending a citizen's right to own guns.

Even though criminals out-gun every American 10 to 1, stripping a citizen's right to bare (and use) firearms for self-defense is the safest deterrent to violence.

    All guns kill & maim.

VOTE to BAN all guns in America!!

  • @GayWorldOrder

Nothing encourages burglars, murderers, and rapists than an ensured defenseless target

Carrying a pistol on your own person is protected by the 2nd, 5th, 9th, and 14th amendments. It is a God-given right the government is supposed to protect, not license and surely not ban entirely!

Free societies respect individual liberty and do not have laws concerning weapons

If you want a gun-free world move to some dictatorship like Russia, China, or the UK and let us have our liberty!

  • @hailholyghost

Well, since I'm am an atheist, I guess I have no god-given right. And which right do you honestly think our godless government is protecting. If you in any wy, shape or form still think the US government is made up of god-fearing leaders, you've got another thing cuming.

  • @GayWorldOrder Good people wish to legally own guns for their protection, sorta like a case like this, and the Criminals come into contact and own guns illegally through illegal means. If the Government was to take away our 2nd amendment, then only the Good law abiding people will lose their guns, making them defenseless against the people that illegally own their guns. We can't rely on the cops to come and stop them. They take minutes to get to the location. By that time, your life is lost.

  • @GayWorldOrder Although many people own guns for self defense, others own it for collector purposes and hobby target shooting, such as me. I view guns as mechanical pieces of art and collect/target shoot, so er no don't ban all guns in America. An average law-abiding citizen is not a mass murdering criminal (otherwise just giving them kitchen knives will turn them into jack the ripper or something

  • @GayWorldOrder Oh and another thing, although guns are designed for killing, the guns themselves do not decide what they should be used for.

  • Just remember, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away ;-)

  • She was armed with a permit? I hope she was armed with a gun.... A permit doesn't put bad guys in the ground...

  • She was armed with a gun stupid, not a permit.

  • Gotta love our rights to carry guns

  • "The laws that forbid the carrying of arms.... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourage

than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

    - Thomas Jefferson

  • I'm all for carrying a firearm, but this lady should have gone back outside and let the cops clear the house. Cops are supposed to serve and protect, it's no big deal to call them for help, this is what they DO. It's one thing being threatened with imminent danger, but she was suspicious from the get-go and did not have to put her life in any more danger. She was lucky to be dealing with a person who was compliant. A good outcome, but could have gone the other way.

  • @snowbird29803 Actually based on a Supreme Court ruling ( you can look this up), the police is not responsible for individual safety, rather they are there for enforcing laws

  • @pwnagemuffinz

"the constitution does not impose a duty on the state and local governments to protect citizens from criminal harm." -DeShaney vs. Winnebago County, 1989 - Supreme Court

  • words to live buy

  • YUP, I agree lady! I also refuse to become a Victim!

  • Typical liberal media douchebags.

  • "Don't use concealed carry just to hurt people" wtf? Are people really that stupid? He must think all our local gang bangers have CC permits... News flash newsboy: Criminals don't get permits for guns or buy guns legally, quit perpetuating a lie.

  • Firearms are an excellent equalizer. Approximately 20% to 25% of concealed weapons licenses are held by women; I think that number should be 50% but it’s a good start.

  • "I'm not a victim" That clear enough of a reason for you gun control nuts!?

  • I love it that she locked the door BEHIND her. Shows she's got balls and isn't afraid of the situation. All (mentally balanced) women should get a gun and take some lessons on how to clean and use it.

  • @guyNbluejeans mentally balanced women?... those are few and far between .. those are like santa and the tooth fairy.. u hear abt them but never actually meet them.

  • @STiTypeUK Man, your comment borders on misogyny.

  • @guyNbluejeans how do you figure? theres no hatred toward women anywhere in my comment. i love my women and i'd do anything for one that ilove but it still doesnt take away form the fact that they are extremely emotional and will act before thinking. thats usually why they will say some shit during an argument they know shldnt be said but they just let their "feelings" out. c'mon son.. everyone knows its the truth. no hate over here tho.

  • @STiUK Well, father, you're really not being too logical yourself. You generalize too much and that's not good, especially when the generalization is on the not so flattering side.

What about all of the emotional men in the world? Do you not read the headlines? One male nutjob after another flipping out and doing some gowd-awful thing after another is what's going on in this world.

Look at all those radical Muslims that strap bombs to their chests for 72 virgins!

There. Let this be a lesson.

  • the two dude reporters seem pro gun while the women shakes her head in disgust after hearing about the other womens gun classes.

  • Notice the anchorwoman shakes her head in disapproval upon hearing the male anchor say the home owner took the concealed carry class 2 years ago. What a bitch (anchorwoman)

  • Guns are awesome. Anyone can figh back when they have a gun

  • pill heads at work

  • Lucky for, you are not anti gun. it would be nice if more anti gunners could have this happen to them. I wonder how that would end?

  • it's now a pistol its a revolver

  • Brave lady. Still, it's best to let COPS clear your house rather than do it yourself--they get PAID for putting their asses on the line.

  • reporter is a dumbass. He said she was armed with a concealed carry permit

  • @bzucchini23 Most reporters are.

  • @bzucchini23 Yea if only everyone had a concealed carry permit they could possibly give the intruder a heart attack with their terrible picture on the permit or they could slice open a jugular or two with the laminated card of death. Screw guns, give me a concealed carry permit and I am ready to take on the world.

  • That Woman Is A G!

Just Look At WHat SHe's Packing!

    S&W!

I Swear If My Grandma Was Packing That I Wouldn't Leave Her SIde

  • if i was her i would have robbed that fucker and sent him on his way. lol

  • The only thing I don't like is that she had to go back to her car to get her pistol. Keep that thing on you.

  • no kidding, i break into cars on the weekend looking for guns, what if it gets stolen?

  • @20bball10 From my hip? LOL

  • good for her

  • She should of made him Clean the House

  • She should have went outside and waited for police to arrive and clear the house. But I do support her right to do whatever she may need to do to protect herself.

  • her finger is a little close to that trigger

  • she was toggling the laser fixture on her S&W 637, you can see it light up. Not sure if it is a Crimson Tracer Grip or not. The hammer wasnt cocked and revolvers have a pretty long pull for them to fire. Not a chance it will go off unless you pull that trigger.

  • yeah but the hammer has to be cocked back for the gun to go off with easy otherwise its a squeeze

  • Good news reporting. I'm impressed with any news media that states the facts.

  • Regardless of which side of the gun issue you're on, I cannot believer anyone is lauding this dingbat's behavior. She should never have reentered the house, especially having a cell phone AND firearm with her outside. This is a horrible example and going room to room without knowing if the perp was still around is especially ridiculous. She's lucky to be alive.

  • You must be a coward who relies on a badge? I think more people should have the guts to stand up for themselves like that woman did! STOP RELYING ON THE POLICE! PROTECT YOURSELVES!

  • Regardless of which side of the gun debate you're on, I cannot believe anyone is lauding this dingbat for not only entering the house, but locking the door and going room to room without knowing it the perp was still inside. This is an AWFUL example and should NEVER be followed. Get to safety and call the police, so not put yourself in harms way. She's lucky to be alive.

  • woot!!! i grew up in Cedar county and went to stockton school. They do pack guns down there let me tell ya.

    Well done lady

  • She said it best herself: "You don't want to shoot anybody." By going into the house armed (and not in ANY imminent danger herself) she was inviting a confrontation and a possible shooting. I'm have a concealed carry license too, but I guess my instructor did a better job of teaching us about staying out of harm's way and not involving guns if at all possible.

  • ur a moron...how do you know she wasn't in imminent danger? all she saw was a forced entry and made a decision. Sounds like your packin just for the sake that it makes you "feel better"...guns dont work unless they're in your hand

  • I loved the comment by the newscaster that the relatives wouldn't let him in (probably for good reasons) and he broke in looking for shelter and food, Food? There were beer bottle caps all over the counter. Was he looking for sandwiches at the bottom of the bottles?

  • its about frickin time CCW got some postive coverage somewhere. Minnesota wont give us the time of day to explain that were not criminals, but were protecting ourselves and others frome them. I agree with woonix though, had she shot the guy, she wouldve got into some trouble, she shouldve stayed out of the house til the sheriff got there.

  • That line of thinking is flawed; especially since she called the cops, she didn't shoot the guy. I'm equally if not more responsible for protecting my family and my home than the police are.

America is based on personal liberties and self reliance; people have become too dependent on police for protection and big brother for guidance.

  • How would you know there's only one intruder? and that they aren't armed also? In this case none of her family was in the home, so why risk searching it alone? The cops wouldn't, they wait for back up. Your family needs you alive, why put your kids through the trauma of your death?

  • Amen, since when did we forfeit the right to be secure in our own homes and delegate that authority to the police?

  • I agree with woonix....she would have been better off letting the cops search the house. One of the training officers used to use our smoke trailer at the fire department, and he would have my brother snatch the new deputies gun when they walked in the room...it happened several times, and these were young fit guys who already been through the acadamy. This could have turned out way different.

  • woonix: You heard her say that she locked the door thinking that the intruder had left. Don't make the assumption that she was looking for trouble! It was her sister's house, and perhaps she felt she was in a safe location as long as she stayed inside the house with her gun, with at least one entry point secure. All I'm saying is you can't assume she was looking for trouble based on what you saw in this video....that would be unreasonable.

  • Good point ! I am a huge proponent of firearms but don't ever go house clearing IF YOU CAN HELP IT . In this particular case, call the cops and have your weapon ready OUTSIDE. If they are in your house, call the cops, lock the bedroom door, IF they come through your door cut them in half ( and forget the pistol use a shotgun )

  • What are you? some liberal or somthing! one of thos people beliving 'a raped woman has more self respect than one with a dead rapist'??

the police arent there to help, they are there to stop crimes they see if they think they should, they are just who want to have a reason to hurt people.

and as you see, just having a gun is just as good as using one

    -charlie

  • Bravo!

If she didn't have the gun, more than likely this drugged up, desperate individual would have harmed her. A ordinary criminal crosses a certian mental thought violence line everytime they enter someone else's un-invited residence.

    It happens everyday.

    Gun grabber's listen up!

  • I wish I could carry my gun to protect my self, but I live in California, and therefore I can't.

I hope Sheriff Hutchens of Orange County Sheriff Department is watching this.

  • california? i bet hes thinking shes crazy for even being within a 100mile radius of a gun, much less than it helped her.

  • thats the point,

    ''i don't want to be a victim''

    ,why can' people understand that

  • I'm suprised they even mentioned that she had a concealed carry permit.

  • Way to go! We love to see armed women taking responsibility for their own safety.

    doubleactionchl (dot) com

  • one lucky guy not to be shot. These losers need to understand that they are laying their lives on the line when they are breaking into people's homes. He probably wouldn't have been so lucky if he came into my home.

  • Good to see journalists with a good understanding of gun rights.

  • this one's for all those victimizer politicians, researchers, and hacks who imply guns are only effective is someone is shot

  • If that woman had not had been armed, this may have been a story on her rape and murder.

  • glad to see more people defending themselves! MOLON LABE

  • Wow great news piece!

  • Sweet, another good guy shows how effective gun ownership and concealed carry is!

  • Excuse me, good GUY? Give the ladies their due, mate!

  • @TheArmedCitizen im pretty sure he meant good guy like "good guy bad guy" what he shldve wrote was another armed citizen ;)
