As a husband of a Neshaminy School District teacher, I used to tease my wife by telling her that she gets overpaid to only working 9 months a year, 7 hour days, weekends and holidays off. After living with a teacher, you learn the hours they TRULY work and the emotional roller coaster they negotiate on a regular basis. To the detractors, I challenge you to get to work an hour early every day, go to work a few days left of your vacation to get your room ready, stay after work for an hour to offe
@sem7148 wow, that sounds so bad. Poor her! Why would anyone want to go to work early or have to stay late. Oh wait, I know. So you bust ass and do a good job to get ahead, that's why! Would you like a tissue? Wow, they have to go into work a few days early after a 3 month vacation? Poor thing! (sniff, sniff)
Look at all the nonsense talk against teachers. I understand sometimes teachers take advantage of being in unions, but it is their right, as well as for EVERYONE and ANYONE who wants to be part of a union. Collective bargaining rights are constitutional, get over it. By the way, many of you need to educate yourselves on how teachers in the U.S. spend the most time teaching in the western world, but get paid alot less than other countries:
The School Board has suspended negotiations due the the work stopage! As a Neshaminy taxpayer I stand by my school board 100%. The NFT thinks by backing the community into a corner they will get what they want.
These teachers need to wake the the hell up! Who the hell pays 8% for healthcare these days. They should be happy to have a job. With many people in the community struggling to keep their jobs and houses these teachers want more!
i'm with the board!

How about we get rid of the neshaminy teachers and bring in all those catholic teachers who recently lost their jobs??
By the way, I pay 100% of my health care. So quit bitching.

Go back to work. You expect to be overpaid in economy like this?
It's hard for everyone. Deal with it.

I stand by the school board. The teachers union as usual is out of touch with reality.
