If you look for hotties on missing child movies, then you've got a problem. Oh, and for the early 90's that was the style unfortunately. Girls even wore jeans that went over the belly button, omg high waisted jeans..Scary..God you made yourself sound like a complete airhead in your post. toodles.

Yes this is based on a true story, and it has been on tv. Abc to be exact, it was on this morning:) I remember reading this when I was 12. I didn't know it was a true story untill my mom told me . She even remembers what happened to the girl,ect.

She got taken by the family she's with in this part . She got taken when her real mom wasn't looking in the mall. It's such a sad story :( but she eventually finds her real mom:)

You know this story almost reminds me of that black girl who did not knew she was kidnap but end it up back with her real mother 20 something years later. Such an amazing story I cried.

@Twigletpleez @WinterSalo They weren't. Look at the clothes, she and the mother are wearing entirely different clothes than when the mom and her got into a fight over the birth certificate. The mom also says she asked about it again this morning, suggesting it's the next day - not the same day.
