it goes fast enough for a starter bike all depends on your weight really might push 45mph. my crf230f was stolen 2weeks ago so i cant ride anymore :'(

if you're about to start i reccomend the ttr230 or the YZ125 the yz has alot more power than the 230 and is a 2stroke bike so it will alot more dangerous for you, soon il be moving upto a crf450r right after i sell my crf230f :D

i would recomend a WR250F and when u get used to them and if u have enough money i would trade it in for a WR450F scence you are so tall but the springs can be adjusted on most bikes now days to make them taller or shorter but those in my opinion are real good bikes for trail riding and for just having fun on a track and maybe racing and they are 4 stroke so they are alot more dependable than a 2 stroke specially on any trail ride and climing hills but anyway good luck, I hope i helped some.
