Besides that most if not all horror movies aren't scary at all these days, it's kinda disappointing.

For some reason I always feel like it would hurt more to be killed naked than if you are clothed, so yeah, I have that irrational fear too. Pretty weird.

And don't even get me started on how people act when they're in danger in horror movies. Pretty retarded.

PART TWO

I'd much rather be attacked by a killer when I'm fully clothed and wearing running shoes. That's why horror filmmakers use it, (along with the fact that audiences enjoy the sight of boobs...)

And onto the tripping. It's a cheap tactic to get you nervous and frustrated with the characters. It's for suspense. I wouldn't do it in a film of my own, but it sure makes the kills a lot more satisfying when the idiot who can't run finally gets butchered.

PART ONE

First of all, gore isn't supposed to be scary. NO horror film maker is putting gore onscreen saying "Oh! That'll be scary!" It's for entertainment and if you're not entertained by it, you're not a member of the target audience.

Second, as for dying nude, a lot of people have that fear. You've basically described why people get murdered naked in movies. When nude and in the shower, people feel extremely vulnerable.

I agree with you about the gore it's not scary just nasty. "The Haunting in Connecticut" looks pretty good, hopefully it will be scary. My boyfriend jumped just watching the previews so I am looking forward to seeing it. If it's bad at least I can laugh at him when he gets scared.

The Orphanage was so great.

Last year's The Strangers was quite scary.  My hear nearly stopped when Liv Tyler tried to hide under the bed but couldn't fit. I know it's lame place to hide, but I'm not sure what else I would think of in the situation. And I wouldn't fit. What else would I do? My only thought is a no go and there's someone following me with a knife.
