Yarr, but that is what comes as default nowadays - no search engine surpasses Google, and no e-mail service either. So now most browsers are fitted with a Google Search as standard. Hell, even IE is.
Its so great how kids are starting to get in touch with technology like this. I mean im still in high school, and we are starting to use technology as a standard but i wish i was younger to experience this full transition.
I wouldn't say kids "are starting." I'm 29 and started using the internet in school when I was 13 (my family happens to own the ISP for my hometown of 18k ppl), & all public schools, for example, had strong relationships w/public universities all over the state (North Carolina),so we used their EXPENSIVE science equipment (free!) in rotations all across the state & had full access to their science/medicine info databases (that I was in charge of maintaining and teaching ppl in my school system).
What a perfect opportunity, as a youth (I presume), to give a well-researched proposal to your school board of education about making education in your town innovative, cutting edge, etc. for free... google docs, etc. are free to end users, and being "cheap" just means that no one has implemented the massloads of free stuff out there for use by the school systems. I grew up in a small hick town and still had the Internet 16 years ago (see comment below). YOU can make it happen.

1. why doesn't my school have this??
2. therefore i wouldn't be up at 11 oclock at night waiting for my friends to respond back to my questions about the homework.
3.they should have an invisible button. so the teachers can hide if they want and so the kids can hide if they want.
this is actually kinda cool.

shouldnt people be alittle more cautious with technogoly, and not let children grow wit a dependence of it?
yea, it can be helpful... but it seems like everyone is SOOO GLAD they got to use google.
wtf, its just another tool, not some major revision to the educational system
