  • Cool! where do you learn this?

  • I started with glass in college mdoing scientific work for a research project. Then learned artistic work by watching others and trial and error :-)

  • great job on the video. I am just learning. Tried to do a pendant this weekend, and it broke in the fiber blanket. Can this be done with my HH torch and soft glass. Broke right in the middle. Hope thats ok to ask. Thanks again

  • If the torch is hot enough to heat the glass to working temperature then it will work. Hard or soft glass will crack if it is not annealed although soft glass is more sensitive to stress cracks. You really need an annealing oven (kiln) although it is possible to flame / hand anneal. In a nutshell, you want to heat the glass so that the inner core cools at the same rate as the outer glass. It's time consuming and not as easy as it might sound.

  • Thanks. I'll keep working on it. Keep up the good work.

  • good job. since i know you live near me i was wondering... you get any of the tornado's tonight? we got 4.

  • Don't think so. Had a thunderstorm move through around 11:00 pm but no tornados that I know of. Everything OK there?

  • yeah nothing huge. One touch down was about 1/4 a mile from my house but... we have no damage at all.

  • rolling right along.

    Nice job.
