Nothing much happened this time, but in the tsunamis of 1946, 1952, 1957, and 1960, Coconut Island (in the view seen in most of this video) was hit strongly enough to damage or destroy buildings on it, as well as the footbridge. So if there had been a big wave (or waves) this time, we'd have seen it dramatically in this particular location. Even though it was boring for most people to watch on TV, we're very lucky it WAS boring.
