You can hire the Felyne Fighter from the woman with the BIG bag in front of your house. Note that this woman is not the woman with the big bag in front of the guild.

As for 1-star quests, any of the bone weapons you start out with work fine. It depends more on your preference at this point, really. If you want an easy-to-use close-ranged weapon, I'd go with the Sword and Shield. Those are quick and you can block with the shield. If you want a nice ranged weapon, I'd start with the Bow. :)

I'm 99% sure there is no such thing as a white Velociprey. A Giaprey looks like a white Velociprey, but I'm quite positive there is no white Velociprey.

There are a few members in that raptor family:

Velociprey (blue/red)

Giaprey (white/blue)

Genprey (yellow/green)

Ioprey (red/purple)

I really enjoy using bows. If you learn to dodge well, you'll rarely get hit if you stay at a good distance and just dodge all the attacks that come your way. Of course, you'll get hit every once in a while, but it's a lot less than if you went head-on with a sword.

I found that bows, however, are kinda hard to upgrade. They require a lot of materials, and most of them seem to be leaning towards the rare side.

Ooo and another question. Okay I decided to drop the Dark Scythe, and now I'm using a heavy Bowgun. Sand Diver. But it can't use like... the GOOD ammo lol It can't use like normal s level 3. I want that.... :( or like crag or pellet or pierce for that matter... level 2 ones anyway.... okay so my question is, what's the best heavy/light bowgun to use for someone who has just cleared the village chiefs 3 star level quests... the one where you beat the Blangonga urgent quest.

Hey, um... lol here comes the dumbass. Yeah that's me :) I was just wondering.... what does affinity mean? Lol it's just that the weapon I'm best with is a long sword and I'm using Dark Scythe atm and it has -10 affinity... can anyone tell me what it means and how does it affect me?

its your critacl hit rate the higher the chance the more damage the critacl hit have but the lower the less damage the hits do

10 a = red flash

-10 a = purple flash

I don't really have a favorite, I chose to continue to use Sword in a few of the beginning videos because it's very player friendly. (:
