I love movies from all the Bonds but Roger Moore was too hokey. His movies introduced that goofy sheriff sidekick and had that weird subplot with Jaws including his girlfriend with braces, and veered too much into the self parody territory. Moore even said that he enjoyed dealing out the jokes more than dabbling in action scenes and Bond isn't supposed to be a comedian. They all have their merits but many people view him as the series low point for good reason.

Daniel Craig's Bond Character returned to the darker side of Bond, like Connery's Bond was. Brosnan was caught in the transition from what was a "cartooonish" Bond by Moore in his later years. My rank is 1) Connery 2) Early Moore 3) Brosnan, Craig 4) later Moore 5) rest of the guys.

I love movies from all the Bonds but Roger Moore was too hokey. His movies introduced that goofy sheriff sidekick and had that weird subplot with Jaws including his girlfriend with braces, and veered too much into the self parody territory. Moore even said that he enjoyed dealing out the jokes more than dabbling in action scenes and Bond isn't supposed to be a comedian. They all have their merits but many people view him as the series low point for good reason.

I loved Pierce Brosnan as Bond he had that nice guy outlook and attitude Roger Moore had mixed the cold heartedness of Sean Connery and Daniel Craig has the cold heartedness of Sean Connery with the rebelous streak of Timothy Dalton. I love the over topness of the orgnal filmes and I like the way the new ones are.

@dirge117 dumbass. Dainel Craig is protraying the orginal Bond from the 1950s which were the way they are now. Casino Royale the book is just when James Bond become 007 just like in the movie. Casino Royale was the only Ian Fleming James Bond novel that was never made into a film as part of the 007 series. James Bond isnt suppose to be tongue and cheek and humor with lots of gadgets. The tongue in cheek still exists the realism is awesome and it aint dull. Craig is badass as James Bond.

But it seems 100% coincidence that CARVER and MURDOCH are not fictitious characters but our beloved writer IAN FLEMING predicted this situation much decades before. Because of the NOTW scandals, he had to feel the heat particularly from the UK Government. Remarkably, Bond too work for UK. What a COINCIDENCE...?

Tomorrow Never Dies was an interesting movie even the song as well, but Pierce Brosnan was in my opinion the best Bond ever :D. I do like all the actors that acted as James Bond just that Pierce is my favorite :)

ButBrosnan'stoocomplacent: it'snotcunning it's insufferable, especially after two films of someone as grounded and pragmatic as Daniel Craig. I mean, don't get me wrong, he doesn't trump Connery's panache in 'you only live twice' but he's definitely a plausible runner up.That's actually the only part of Craig I'm distasteful of: his expressions are two modes: pissed and haggard with minimal range to signal interpersonal intrigue or development. Connery made every surprise seem like a novelty.

The last two Bond movies, especially Casino Royale, have been more like the old fashioned ones (the ones from the 1960s). They've already started doing it. Daniel Craig's Bond Character returned to the darker side of Bond, like Connery's Bond was. Brosnan was caught in the transition from what was a "cartooonish" Bond by Moore in his later years. My rank is 1) Connery 2) Early Moore 3) Brosnan, Craig 4) later Moore 5) rest of the guys.

A serious kick ass Bond with none of this pissing around with gadgets, the most complicated gadget Bond had in the books was a knife hidden in a suitcase.
